Season 20 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” is expected to be one for the books, marking a milestone for the franchise. It has already been announced that Vicki Gunvalson will return. Now, many are wondering when filming will start and how long it will be before it airs.
It’s Unclear When Season 20 of RHOC Will Air
Season 19 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” concluded in November 2025. It is now assumed that production on RHOC season 20 will commence in early to mid-2026. For comparison, they began filming season 19 in February 2025. The show premiered in July 2025. July is a common premiere date for the series.
Regarding season 20 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Judge said she was unsure of who would return. She said to Jeff Lewis, “Well, I think at this point, there’s nothing any of us can do. We’re just sitting ducks right now. We’re just waiting to see if there is, you know, who’s coming back and who’s not.”
There is a Rumored Cast
There is also a new report from Bravo & Cocktails. It says that, in addition to Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Jennifer Pedranti will return to the series if the report is accurate.
The report continues, stating that three “Real Housewives of Orange County” cast members are “on the bubble.” In other words, their futures on the show are uncertain. They are Emily Simpson, Katie Ginella, and Gretchen Rossi. Additionally, it’s being reported that Evolution Media, the media company behind RHOA, wants at least one brand-new cast member.
Vicki Gunvalson Was Invited Back to RHOC at BravoCon
Gunvalson was one of the original cast members of “The Real Housewives of Orange County. In fact, she’s often referred to as “the OG of the OC.” She then left the series in 2020 after 14 seasons. Since then, she has appeared in friend and guest capacities. Her most recent appearance on the show was in season 18.
Andy Cohen invited her back to the show for season 20. This took place at BravoCon 2025 at the “Bravos” segment. He said to her on stage, “Vicki, can you believe the Real Housewives of Orange County is entering its 20th season next year?”
Gunvalson responded, “I can’t, and this is so exciting. I love you guys out there, and I love Bravo. It’s been a great ride.”
From there, Cohen pulled out an orange and asked if she would return as a full-time housewife, and she said, “Yes.” Gunvalson then spent the weekend being photographed with her orange.
Hopefully Tramra is gone. If not, they just lost a viewer.

Too say I was disappointed they hired Vicki is an understatement. Never liked her fairness . She’s rude and bossy. Also acts like a prude when she’s far from one. Will never give that she defending Brooks for the cancer scam. Don’t know if I’ll watch or not!
I’m so pissed that Vicki is back….Why? She’s boring & a bully.
I believe she was brought back, so her & Tamrat can gang up on Gretchen & god only knows who else. I’ve watched this show since day 1 but with Tamrat coming back…..I’M DONE
I don’t condone bullying but it’s obvious Andy & Bravo are okay with it.
