Kylie Jenner is adding another title to her resume — recording artist. The reality star and entrepreneur officially made her music debut by teaming up with pop duo Terror Jr on their new single, “Fourth Strike.”
The 28-year-old shared her excitement on Instagram on October 14, posting behind-the-scenes photos from the studio and revisiting a viral rumor from 2016 that claimed she secretly sang on Terror Jr’s debut track, “3 Strikes.” “There was a little rumor 10 years ago that I was the one actually singing on 3 Strikes! It wasn’t me (wish it was),” Jenner wrote. “So I had the idea to come together for “Fourth Strike” and it would actually be ME featured!”
Reviving her early “King Kylie” persona, Jenner thanked the group for trusting her with the collaboration, admitting she was “sooooo nervous but so grateful.” The song also features a personal touch — a clip of her children, Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, singing along in the car.
“Fourth Strike” serves as both a musical debut and a nostalgic callback to the original Kylie Cosmetics campaign, which famously used Terror Jr’s “3 Strikes” in 2016. The track also appears in the visuals promoting Kylie Cosmetics’ 10th-anniversary collection, where Jenner plays a mischievous version of herself being “interrogated for flipping the cosmetics industry on its head.” The clip ends with her mother, Kris Jenner, picking her up as “Fourth Strike” plays in the background. Terror Jr responded in the comments, writing, “Thanks for creating this with us. You sound so good on it!!,” according to E! News.
The Return of ‘King Kylie’
The new single arrives alongside Jenner’s “King Kylie” revival, a campaign marking the 10th anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics. The King Kylie Collection, reportedly launching Oct. 18, reintroduces several fan-favorite products from her 2015 debut, including metallic lip glosses, her original eyeshadow palette, and classic lip kits. “You’re the reason my biggest cosmetic dreams came true,” Jenner shared on Instagram, thanking fans for their support.
Her campaign video mirrors her 2010s aesthetic — bold teal streaks, glitter glam, and a rebellious alter ego. “King Kylie” first defined the look that helped her launch her billion-dollar brand. “I wanted to revisit that fearless era that had a dream at just 17 years old,” Jenner said of the comeback.
Mixed Fan Reactions Online
While many fans celebrated her nostalgic return, reactions to “Fourth Strike” have been mixed. Some praised Jenner’s confidence and full-circle creative move, while others criticized the song’s heavy use of vocal effects. Still, social media lit up with excitement over her “King Kylie” comeback, with one fan posting, “The icon is back!” in support of her new era, per Reality Tea.
Despite the divided response, Jenner seems unfazed, focusing instead on celebrating a decade of her brand and embracing her creative evolution. As she put it best in her post, “GO STREAM NOW!”
