It’s the end of an era on “Days of Our Lives” as Billy Flynn makes his final appearance as Chad DiMera.
News that Flynn was leaving the show and a role he had played for over a decade came last spring. Due to the hit Peacock soap’s advanced filming schedule, Flynn just now took his final bow as Chad, and he did not disappoint.
Billy Flynn Marks the End of His ‘Days of Our Lives’ Run
A promo video for “Days of Our Lives’ teased Flynn’s final episode, which was on Tuesday, February 17. Michael Fairman TV reported that Flynn reshared the video via his Instagram Story to mark the end of his run on the show.
“For the last decade, I gave my all to this character and to this show. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to play Chad DiMera. Tuesday, my journey with this character comes to an end. Was a hell of a run and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did,” the actor wrote.
Flynn took over the role of Chad in 2014 from Casey Deidrick. Fans adored the latter, but Flynn soon won them over by making Chad his own.
During his time on “Days of Our Lives,” Chad and Abigail, played by “General Hospital” star Kate Mansi and Maric Miller, became one of the most beloved supercouples on the soap. Abigail’s death in 2022 rocked Salem and fans of the show. It also gave Flynn some outstanding material, where he delivered several powerhouse performances that earned him his third Daytime Emmy nomination as Chad.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Fans Will Miss Billy Flynn
In the comments section of the promo for the Peacock soap teasing Flynn’s final appearance, fans made it clear he will be missed.
“Billy Flynn, will ALWAYS Be the BEST Chad DiMera on DAYS!! 🙌🏾. He will Most Definitely be missed as Chad. ❤️” shared a fan. One fan added, “Billy Flynn will be greatly missed.”
Another fan chimed in to say, “Billy Flynn will be missed!! Love you as Chad 2.0 on Days!! I will also miss the kids who played Thomas and Charlotte Dimera!!” “Sure going to miss Billy, there’s only one Chad !” expressed a different fan.
It’s the end of an era as Flynn leaves Chad behind. Flynn gave Chad his all until his last performance, in which he delivered emotional moments filled with nostalgia and love.
Flynn may no longer be on “Days of Our Lives,” but he can be seen on “The Young and the Restless.” The actor has been playing Cane on the CBS soap since last summer.
