Steve Burton’s wife, Michelle Lundstrom, gave him a shout-out following the news that he is taking a brief hiatus from “General Hospital.” Lundstrom celebrated her husband with some on-set moments before he taped his last episode of the ABC soap until the summer.

Taking to Instagram, Lundstrom shared a behind-the-scenes video from the “General Hospital” set, where Burton has played Jason Morgan for over three decades. The footage featured Burton getting his make-up touched up, learning his lines, and being in his soap element, which fans rarely get to see.
Lundstrom also shared a tender moment between the two of them, where they kissed on the set of one of the Port Charles piers. She even included a tease of the actor’s dressing room and his official cast photo for the ABC soap.
The video was adorable, especially their on-set kiss. However, it was Lundstrom’s message about Burton that really tugged at the heartstrings.

Lundstrom also said that Burton was husband goals, that she’s grateful for him, and that she was blessed and thankful for life with the actor.
Her celebration of Burton comes after he set the record straight on his temporary exit from “General Hospital.” Burton was honest about wanting to spend more time with his wife and their blended family, while also shutting down false rumors about him and Lundstrom.

The soap star and the “Barbecue Showdown” star began dating in 2024 but kept their relationship under wraps at first. They went public with their romance later the same year and got engaged in January 2025. In May 2025, they got married in a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends.
Between the two of them, they have five children. Burton is father to daughters Makena and Brooklyn and son Jack from his marriage to Sheree Gustin. Lundstrom has two daughters, Lilah and Hannah, from a previous relationship.
In July, the family welcomed a new addition, a dog. Wyatt Burton is a Toy Australian Shepherd and can often be seen on both Lundstrom and Burton’s social media accounts.
