“The Bold and the Beautiful” villain Lisa Yamada is still reeling from her historic win at the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
The Lisa Yamada portrayer won the Best Emerging Talent category, where she was up against her co-star and real-life bestie, Christian Weissmann (Remy Pryce). Other nominees included “The Bay’s” Olivia d’Abo (Fifi), and “Days of Our Lives” stars AnnaLynne McCord (Cat) and Ashley Puzemis (Holly).
Yamada’s big win is extra special, as it marks the first time the award-giving body included the category, making her the inaugural winner. Not only that, but Yamada is “the first performer of Asian descent to win a Daytime Emmy for acting in a network soap opera.”

As soon as “The Young and the Restless” star Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Ross Mathews announced her as the winner, Yamada was in tears. She gave her mother and Weissman a hug before going to the stage.
“Thank you so much for this recognition, acting has been my dream since I gained consciousness, and my dreams are coming true right now,” Yamada said in her speech, in tears.
The actress goes on to thank Brad Bell, calling him the “best boss,” co-star Don Diamont for his constant guidance, and bestie Christian Weissmann.
“Most importantly, I want to thank my mommy and my daddy,” she added. “You sacrificed so much for me to pursue this silly dream of mine. I am so lucky to be your daughter. I love you so much.”
Yamada closed her speech, poking fun at herself and her ugly crying.
Yamada Gets Love From ‘The Bold & the Beautiful’ Family
Shortly after winning her very first Emmy awards, Yamada took to Instagram to thank her “The Bold and the Beautiful” family.
“To my @boldandbeautifulcbs family — thank you for changing my life. thank you for creating a space where i can be vulnerable and pour my heart into every scene,” the actress wrote in part.
She goes on to thank her fellow nominees, adding that being listed alongside them was “truly an honor.”
Yamada continued:
“To the late-night self tapes, the tears over missed roles — this career is really fucking hard. but i’d tell little lisa, the one who cried herself to sleep dreaming of a moment like this: we did it, girl.”
“The Bold and the Beautiful” stars showered Yamada with love and support in the comments section. Crew Morrow (Will Spencer) wrote, “You did THAT. And you’re so special Lisa.”
Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes) commented, “Lisa!!!! SO HAPPY FOR YOUUUUU!! CONGRATULATIONS!!”
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) exclaimed, “Yeeee!!!! So happy for YOU!!”
