‘Bold & the Beautiful’ Alum Returns To TV After Soap Exit

The Bold and the Beautiful” alum Lisa Yamada has landed her first gig following her epic run as villain Luna on the CBS soap. Last November, the character was presumed dead, leading to Yamada leaving the show. Four months later, the actress is taking her talents to primetime.

Lisa Yamada to Guest Star on ‘Will Trent’

It’s no surprise that Yamada was snapped up to appear on “Will Trent” following her epic run on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that the actress is slated to guest star in the March 10 episode of the ABC hit titled, “You’re Only as Sick as Your Secrets.”

Yamada plays a preppy college student involved in the new case that Will (Ramón Rodríguez), Faith (Iantha Richardson), and Angie (Erika Christensen) are working on. According to a synopsis for the episode, a fraternity golden boy and his friend are found dead, leading Will and company to investigate.

Although details surrounding Yamada’s role are being kept quiet, she will have a significant part in the episode. The “Will Trent” guest stint marks Yamada’s first new role since her exit from the hit CBS soap.

Luna wreaked havoc on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” but Yamada was so good in the role, she made Luna a character fans loved to hate and a villain they hope isn’t really dead.

Yamada was recognized for her incredible talent at the Daytime Emmy Awards last October. She made history at the awards, becoming the first Asian-American network soap actor to win a Daytime Emmy and the first person to win in the brand-new category for Outstanding Emerging Talent.

Something Else For Fans to Look Forward to in 2026

This summer, fans will finally get to see Yamada in the highly anticipated “Legally Blonde” prequel series “Elle”, airing on Prime Video. Yamada plays Amber in the series set in the ‘90s and following a high school Elle.

“It was one of the best wardrobe departments I’ve ever worked with. I mean, just dripping in Hermes, and Dolce Gabbana, and Gucci. My character is like,’ Daddy’s Amex is gonna pay for it.” It was a lot of fun. It was so completely different from what I do on The Bold and the Beautiful. So, it was was refreshing,” the actress expressed during an appearance on the Soapy podcast, last November.

“Elle” premieres on Prime Video in July. The show also stars Lexi Minetree as Elle, the role previously played by Reese Witherspoon. Zac Looker, Gabrielle Policano, Jessica Belkin, and the late James Van Der Beek in a recurring role.
