Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) shared a recent awkward moment on the set of “General Hospital” with his co-star, Kirsten Storms (Maxie). The scene involved a kiss and a reunion, but things didn’t quite go off as planned, which only added to the filmed moment.
‘General Hospital’ Stars Have Kissing Mishap
On his podcast, That’s Awesome with Steve and Bradford, a recent scene between Bradford and Storms was brought up. Anderson told Steve Burton (Jason) that it involved a kiss between the “General Hospital” stars, something that is not unusual for them since their characters are a couple.
This time, though, there was a bit of direction that made things awkward, funny, and a bit confusing for Storms and Anderson. We had a kiss at the end of the scene, and the director had told us which one of us to initiate. But when we actually did, when the kiss came, I was waiting for her to initiate, and she clearly thought that I should be the one initiating. And she was like, ‘Okay, come here,’ kind of like that. And so they didn’t adjust it,” the soap star recalled.
Anderson didn’t see how the scene aired, but admitted it was a very funny moment. The scene aired a couple of weeks ago and involved Maxie telling Spinelli she chose him over Nathan (Ryan Paevey).
Spinelli was certain Maxie would pick Nathan when she woke up from her coma and learned Nathan wasn’t so dead, but that wasn’t the case. When Maxie delivered the news to Spinelli, the kiss was awkward, but it fit the moment quite well, and now fans know why it played out that way.
Fans Can’t Get Enough of Maxie and Spinelli on ‘General Hospital’
The kiss was a huge moment for Spixie fans. Like all soap fans, they wasted no time showing their happiness about Maxie staying with Spinelli. Bradford and Burton’s official Instagram page for their podcast and tour asked, and many fans admitted to crying while watching the scene.
“I cried when she said he was her person. 🥹,” insisted a fan. Another fan shared, “Yes, it’s a WIN. Spinelli & Maximista ❤️❤️🔥.”
One person added, “Absolutely chose the right person!! 💖.” “I love Maxie and Spinelli together. He’s her ground wire and she’s his excitement,” expressed a different fan.
“So happy she choose Spinelli. Love them, “Absolutely YES! Love Spixie!” and “YESSSSSSSSSSSSS love spinelli and maxie” were more fan comments, thrilled that Spixie is staying together at least for now.
Fans know that happy couples don’t usually last, especially in Port Charles, but for now, Maxie and Spinelli got a happy ending.
