“General Hospital” has revealed a brand-new side to Josslyn Jacks to viewers over the last few months. Shortly after being trained by her WSB handler, Vaughn, the two were sent overseas to gather information in Croatia. Of course, everything went sideways. Josslyn and Vaughn only escaped with their lives because Jason showed up just in time.
Now, they have returned home, but Josslyn’s secret life could be exposed.. Eden McCoy, who plays Josslyn Jacks, recently chatted with Soap Opera Digest about the situation that her character now finds herself in.
Eden McCoy Loves Doing the Stunts
ABCGH fans are used to seeing Josslyn entrenched in college life, so these last few months have been a bit of a jolt. No one likely had the character joining the WSB on their GH bingo card, but it has proven to be a great twist. Eden McCoy is also having a blast with the changes to her storyline. Especially that great escape from the Five Poppies Resort.
“I had so much fun doing the stunts. That was so cool! It was a lot of pressure because it was a real, like, cannon that they used [to create the explosion]. We only got one take or maybe two takes to get it [filmed]. All four of us had to time exactly when we were going to jump and fall on the floor,” says McCoy.
“It was all done in real time, and if anyone messed up, it would have looked really off. So, I think we were all pretty nervous, ” she continued. “We were all like, ‘We have to time this really correctly or else it’s going to look really bad!’”
Luckily, we got it all done in one take, and the explosion looked really cool. The lighting was great — all the departments did a really great job, and hopefully it looked just as good on TV as it did on set!”
Josslyn Trusts Jason to Keep Her Secret
ABCNow that Josslyn, Vaughn, and Jason have all returned home to Port Charles, the dynamics are likely to change. Will her romantic relationship with Vaughn continue despite Brennan’s warning? And maybe more importantly, will Jason keep the fact that she is a WSB agent from her mother, Carly?
“I think she’s probably going to lie to herself [about it not posing a problem],” says McCoy. “Obviously, she’s confided so much in the character of Jason, and it’s obvious to her that he would do anything for her mom, so of course, that relationship he has with her mom makes Josslyn nervous now that he has this information.”
“I think that, as nervous as his loyalty to Carly makes her, he’s her godfather, and she has the same sense of Jason somehow being loyal to her and keeping that secret because he knows her mom as well as she does, and also knows that Josslyn is her own person. This is already done — there’s no getting out of this. So, I think that’s what Joss is going to choose to believe, for her own state of mind — but obviously, anything can happen!” explains McCoy.
