Robin and Stone’s First Meeting Was Far From Romantic
“GH” stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson took to their Stone Cold and the Jackal social media pages to share an “On This Day in GENERAL HOSPITAL History” post with fans.
The nostalgic post revisited Robin and Stone’s first meeting in 1993. The duo set the scene, writing, “Robin: ‘What a jerk!’” and “Stone: ‘Robin is a drag!’”
They continued, “1993: Robin Scorpio and Michael ‘Stone’ Cates made one another’s acquaintance at an amateur boxing match featuring Jagger and AJ. It was far from love at first sight…”
Although Robin and Stone did not immediately hit it off, their rocky introduction marked the beginning of what would become one of the most memorable love stories in “General Hospital” history.
‘General Hospital’ Fans Name Their Favorite Couple of All Time
The post quickly had fans debating who really was the greatest “General Hospital” couple of all time, with many giving the title to Robin and Stone hands down.

Robin and Stone’s Love Story Left a Lasting Mark on Port Charles
As many longtime “General Hospital” fans may remember, Stone and Robin had one of Port Charles’ most epic romances. After some initial bumps in the road, the teens fell hard and fast for each other.
After Stone was shot and some of his blood got on Robin, he revealed that he had tested positive for HIV. This led to a powerful HIV storyline for “GH” in the ’90s, during which Robin contracted the virus from Stone. Stone sadly passed away from HIV-related complications in 1995.
While Stone hasn’t been on the soap for over three decades, his memory has been kept alive by Robin and Sonny Corinthos, who was like a brother to him.
After losing her love at such a young age, Robin went on to become a doctor and found new love with fellow doctor Patrick Drake. While neither character is currently featured on “GH,” their daughter, Emma Scorpio-Drake, is currently a key cast member on the soap.
