Is Jason Morgan Forgetting Someone? ‘General Hospital’ Fans Question His New Focus

Since Jason Morgan’s return to Port Charles in mid-July 2026, the former hitman has been looking to leave his old ways behind and step up as the stable and present father his teenage son, Danny Morgan, needs. While many “General Hospital” fans are happy to see Jason finally putting his son first, others have one big question: What about Jake? Jason’s other son may be living abroad and doing well, but some viewers think it’s strange that he rarely seems to come up in his father’s new chapter. Read on to see what “GH” fans had to say.

‘General Hospital’ Fans Want Jake Webber Back in Port Charles

“GH” stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson recently took to their Stone Cold and the Jackal social media pages to raise the question themselves.

“FORGOTTEN SON: LOTS OF TALK ABOUT DANNY, But Does Jason Remember That He Has Jake Too?” the duo asked fans.

The question quickly sparked a debate about Jason’s journey into fatherhood, with several viewers admitting they would like to see Jake return to Port Charles.

“They never mention Jake. So sad. Now that Jason is out of the mob he can get back with Elizabeth,” one “General Hospital” fan commented.

Another viewer argued that Jake belongs in Port Charles with both of his parents, writing, “Jake needs to be back in Port Charles for both his mother and his father.”

One fan kept their request simple, declaring, “It’s time for Jake to come home.”

As longtime “General Hospital” fans will remember, Elizabeth Webber has three sons: Cameron Webber, Jake Webber and Aiden Webber. Cameron’s father is the late Zander Smith, Jake’s father is Jason Morgan, and Aiden’s father is Elizabeth’s ex-husband, Lucky Spencer.

Some viewers aren’t just hoping to see Jake return, either.

“Really all three of Elizabeth’s sons need to come back. Webber and Spencer family,” one fan wrote.

Other ‘GH’ Fans Say Jason Hasn’t Forgotten Jake

Not everyone agreed that Jason’s current focus on Danny means he has forgotten about his other son.

Several “General Hospital” fans pointed out that Jake is older, living abroad, and in a considerably different situation than his younger half-brother.

“Well, he is paying for him to go to art school in Spain,” one fan pointed out.

Another viewer similarly noted, “Jason is paying for Jake to travel abroad and attend college.”

Others argued that Jake doesn’t currently need the same level of parental involvement that Danny does.

“Jake is an adult, living in Spain and is not being influenced by Jason’s job,” one fan wrote.

Another viewer emphasized the difference between the brothers’ circumstances, commenting, “Jake is an adult with another stable parent. Danny is a kid who had no parents there for a minute.”

One “General Hospital” fan went even further, calling the entire debate over Jake a “non-issue.” The viewer pointed out that fans know where Jake is, he’s doing well, and he still has Elizabeth as a stable presence in his life. Danny, on the other hand, is a struggling teenager who has been practically begging for intervention.

“Just because a parent is trying to help one child doesn’t mean they have forgotten the other,” the fan argued, joking that Jason shouldn’t have to say, “Thank God Jake is doing well in college,” every other breath just to prove he remembers his son.

Have the ‘General Hospital’ Writers Forgotten About Jake?

While some “General Hospital” fans debated Jason’s parenting, others thought fans might be blaming the wrong person entirely.

“The question is, do the WRITERS remember about Jake?” one fan asked.

Another viewer agreed that the issue wasn’t necessarily Jason himself, writing, “No, Jason hasn’t forgotten, the writers have. There’s A LOT they have forgotten.”

For some fans, the lack of acknowledgment is particularly noticeable now that Jason’s storyline is so heavily focused on becoming a better father.

“It doesn’t look good for Jason not to talk about Jake or see Jake. Bad, bad writing,” one viewer commented.

Another “General Hospital” fan pointed out that Jake hasn’t disappeared from the show’s universe completely. Elizabeth recently mentioned her son during a conversation with Felicia Scorpio, but the viewer was frustrated that Jason himself still hadn’t talked about him.

“Elizabeth mentioned Jake in a conversation with Felicia recently, but Jason hasn’t mentioned him at all. Do better writers!” the fan wrote.

Whether Jake actually needs Jason in the same way Danny does right now may be debatable, but “General Hospital” fans clearly haven’t forgotten that Jason has two sons. With Jason beginning a new chapter centered around fatherhood and leaving his dangerous former lifestyle behind, viewers will be watching to see whether Jake eventually becomes part of his father’s story again.
