9:34 p.m. – Aubry decides to bring Joe to Final 3 and wants Rizo and Jonathan to battle in fire. She thinks Rizo has the most similar game to hers, and wants him gone.
Rizo’s Survivor Legacy
We just saw Rizo Velovic play the game, but he was back for another go-round on “Survivor 50.” Yes, Rizo first competed on “Survivor 49.” During that season, he quickly became a fan favorite thanks to his chaotic gameplay, humor, and willingness to make big moves.
While he reached the Final Four, he did lose out during the fire-making challenge to eventual winner Savannah Louie.
It was an immediate turnaround for Rizo, as he would return for “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.” Many viewers were shocked, especially since Seasons 49 and 50 were filmed back-to-back. In fact, the Season 50 cast hadn’t even seen Rizo’s season, so they had no clue how he played or who even won.
Ahead of the finale, Rizo had become one of the season’s most talked-about players. He even describes himself as “the man, the myth, the legend, R-I-Z-G-O-D.”
Rizo has found himself in the middle of some big strategic decisions and betrayals this season. He definitely has helped in creating some of the most dramatic episodes of the season.
Rizo’s Key Moments on ‘Survivor 50’
The key moments for Rizo came late in the game. Early in the season, he was able to align himself with Cirie Fields and Ozzy Lusth, forming the Cirie’s Rizzard of Oz alliance.
He went against that alliance. Rizo and Ozzy got split into a separate tribe during one of the season’s many twists. When the tribe was targeting Ozzy, Rizo kept quiet about it. Instead of warning him and giving that heads up so he could use his Hidden Immunity Idol.
Then last week, Rizo turned against Cirie when the rest of the tribe wanted to target her. He knew he couldn’t beat her in the end, so he had to make a big move. However, it did spark backlash among “Survivor” fans, as Cirie had become one of the season’s emotional and strategic centers.
Despite the risky betrayal, Rizo found himself in the Final 5 alongside Aubry Bracco, Joe Hunter, Jonathan Young, and Tiffany Nicole Ervin. He also had a Hidden Immunity Idol in his pocket, so a spot in the Final 4 was a guarantee.
Many fans thought Rizo had an outside shot to win it all because of those aggressive moves. However, others wondered if the jury would respect those betrayals and award him the money.
What do you think of the results on “Survivor 50” tonight?
