Chris McNally is kicking off Hallmark’s “Fall Into Love” event, which features a series of swoon-worthy movies for viewers to fall in love with. He’s starring in the first movie airing for the event, “Love Finds You,” where a case of mistaken identity makes the leads think about what they truly want. Starring alongside Chris McNally is Aimeé Teegarden, a fan-favorite actress seen across Hallmark’s content.
While the characters that appear in Hallmark movies tend to have complicated love lives, McNally’s own love story has been more straightforward. Plus, Hallmark is partially to thank for McNally’s love story, since he met his wife, Julie Gonzalo, in 2017 on the set of “The Sweetest Heart.”
The couple then welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2022. Adding to the joy, the couple welcomed their second child, another daughter, just this past June.

As a regular star, McNally can be found in plenty of Hallmark content. “When Calls the Heart” has had him as a member of the cast playing Lucas Bouchard and Nathan Grant since 2019. He also stars in Hallmark films like “Two for Tee,” “Holiday Crashers,” and “A Tail of Love.”
However, McNally’s career hasn’t been limited to the Hallmark Channel, and he’s made appearances on other well-known shows on different networks. These include playing Alan Mayberry on an episode of “Riverdale,” Ryan in an episode of “Falling Skies,” Ty and a busboy in two episodes of “Supernatural,” and Sergei Brevlov in three episodes of “Altered Carbon.”
As for McNally’s wife, Julie Gonzalo, you can find her in a number of Hallmark movies as well. These include “My Argentine Heart,” “Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane,” “Jingle Bell Bride,” and “3 Beds, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost.” She also makes appearances outside the network on shows such as “Supergirl” where she plays Andrea and Acrata, “The Good Doctor” where she appears in an episode as Jenna, and “Veronica Mars” where she plays Parker Lee.
What the ‘Fall Into Love’ Event has to Offer this Year
In addition to “Love Finds You” airing on August 22, “Much About Love” is airing on August 29 with Ashley Williams and Niall Matter as the leads in what’s described as a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.”
“Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding” airs on September 5 with Tamera Mowry-Housley and Risteard Cooper as the leads of this addition to the murder mystery series.
Finally, “Falling Into Place” airs on September 12 with Alvina August and Nathan Witte, where a return home for a fall festival and high school reunion leads to finishing a fall bucket list from childhood.
By the time the “Fall Into Love” event ends, it’s basically time to get ready for Christmas to take the spotlight yet again, and the Christmas in July season is over and fall is about the time that the normal season for Christmas on Hallmark begins.
