With the annual “Christmas in July” in the rearview mirror, Hallmark Channel fans can enjoy the changing of the seasons as Saturday, August 22 kicks off its “Fall Into Love” programming event.
Consisting of four movies, this year’s “Fall Into Love” features familiar stars and the unique mixture of fun and romance that viewers have come to love.
Among the stars fans can expect to see in this year’s “Fall Into Love” movies are “When Calls the Heart” alum Chris McNally, Tamera Mowry-Housley returning with the latest chapter in her hit mystery franchise, along with Ashley Williams teaming up with Niall Matter for a Shakespeare-inspired rom-com.
‘Love Finds You’
A case of mistaken identity is at the core of “Love Finds You,” the first “Fall Into Love” film.
“A mislabeled package convinces jewelry designer Alex she’s found her ideal man, sending her and delivery driver Jack on a citywide search that helps them discover what they truly want,” reads the synopsis for this film starring Hallmark fan favorites Chris McNally and Aimeé Teegarden. ‘Much About Love’
HallmarkWilliam Shakespeare’s classic comedy “Much Ado About Nothing” is the inspiration for this new movie pairing Hallmark Channel veterans Ashley Williams and Niall Matter.
“A TV director returns to her theater roots for a Shakespeare festival and runs into an old flame, rekindling a merry war of wits in this modern retelling of ‘Much Ado About Nothing,’” notes the synopsis for “Much About Love.” Premiere: Saturday, August 29
‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding’
HallmarkTamera Mowry-Housley is back with a fourth movie in her “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” franchise. Returning as Gethsemane Brown, Mowry-Housley steps back into the role of the former orchestra conductor now working at a boarding school in a picturesque Irish village, where she solves crimes with the assistance of ghost named Eamon (Risteard Cooper).
“When Gethsemane is invited to play at a wedding, she and Eamon find themselves involved in the death of a member of the bridal party,” reads the Hallmark Channel synopsis for “Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding.”
Mowry-Housley first announced the latest film in the franchise back in late July. “I’m going to announce today that the fourth installment of the ‘Haunted Harmony’ murder mysteries, ‘Prelude to a Wedding,’ is going to be airing September 5,” she said, as reported by People.
“Gethsemane Brown and Eamon are on the case again,” she added, hinting that viewers might see her debut her violin skills in the film. “My character gets invited to a wedding, you know, because I play the violin. [Gethsemane] inspired me to learn how to play the violin, so I play the violin in real life now,” she revealed. Premiere: Saturday, September 5
‘Falling Into Place’
HallmarkThe final “Fall Into Love” offering is set in a bucolic small town amidst the splendor of autumn,
“Kaia (Alvina August) returns home for her town’s fall festival as well as her high school reunion and spends the week with her childhood best friend, James (Nathan Witte), to complete their unfinished fall bucket list,” reads the official logline. Premiere: Saturday, September 12
