Season 50 Begins

We take a look back at the journey of the show. Kind of cool to see. This season is in the hands of the fans. The castaways are on the boat and headed to the island! They arrive on the island and Jeff Probst. He said the only thing they want for giving them this spot on “Survivor” 50 is EVERYTHING! They want these castaways to give everything to this game and season.

Jeff catches up with some of the castaways. Mike White said he has FOMO, so he didn’t want to miss out on anything. Rick said he voted with the fans, and he said he voted to have no idols, and he has no interest in them, which none of them believe. Cirie said “Survivor” is home for her. We get some words of affirmation from Coach, and then it’s time to break them out into tribes:

  • Cila Tribe – Joseph “Joe” Hunter, Savannah Louie, Christian Hubicki, Cirie Fields, Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth, Emily Flippen, Rick Devens, and Jenna Lewis-Dougherty
  • Kalo Tribe – Jonathan Young, Dee Valladares, Mike White, Kamilla Karthigesu, Charlie Davis, Tiffany Nicole Ervin, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, and Chrissy Hofbeck
  • Vatu Tribe – Colby Donaldson, Genevieve Mushaluk, Rizo “Rizgod” Velovic, Angelina Keeley, Quintavius “Q” Burdette, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Kyle Fraser, and Aubry Bracco

The fans voted on two things to start the game: in a 53-47 vote, they voted to let the castaways earn their rice. In a 60-40 vote, they also said they need to earn their supplies!

First Challenge of ‘Survivor’ 50

For this first challenge, the tribes are going to work their way through a series of obstacles. Grab keys along the way on land and water. They will need to light their torch on fire, which wins them flint and a massive bomb fire back at camp waiting for them!

Vatu is out to a big lead on this one, as they are heading out on the boat. The water is very choppy today, as it’s windy. Cila makes it close towards the end, but Vatu pulls it out and wins this challenge. They get flint and fire back at camp.

For the two losing tribes, they each have to send one player to go compete in a separate challenge to earn supplies. It will be Coach for Kalo, Ozzy for Cila, and Q for Vatu. They will all compete for more supplies.

Camp Time

We see Vatu get to camp, so happy to see their huge fire. Stephanie is excited to see Colby, as they have played together before. Colby said Rizo talks a lot, and he thinks he’s going to be a liability to his and Stephanie’s game.

On Kalo, they get to camp, and Dee is loving her tribe. She thinks they have a little of everything. They are all excited to have the beast Jonathan on their tribe. Mike has a ripped six-pack, which they are all shocked to see. He is playing the silly, grandpa role to not be a threat.

On Cila, the castaways arrive at their camp. They also feel they have a well-rounded crew. Time to get these camps built. Savannah is on this tribe, which season 50 is being filmed two weeks after season 49 finished. She tells them she did win, which no one knew. Jenna is on a mission to take out Cirie.

Supply Challenge

Q, Ozzy, and Coach arrive at the separate island for this challenge. Ozzy and Coach have been pitted against each other for a while. For this challenge, they will race out to retrieve three bundles of materials. They will then use the materials to build a stick long enough to retrieve a key. Retrieve the key and win supplies for their tribe.

Ozzy gets his stick built first, but he is struggling to get to the key. Meanwhile, the other guys are trying to build their stick. Their is only one key to retrieve, so if Ozzy grabs it, the others can steal it from him. It’s a matter of getting it back to them.

After 35 minutes, Ozzy finally knocks the key down. It’s then a struggle to retrieve it. However, Coach gets it back and wins this challenge. Coach is ecstatic, but Ozzy was hoping he would play it cool. Coach heads out with his supply, but then Q and Ozzy stay there and have to read another clue.

He said he’s going to be cutthroat when he needs to be. Q and Ozzy read the note, and it says for losing, they will be staying there, as this is Exile Island! They will return to camp the next day, so a major disadvantage.

Celebration Time

Over on Kalo, the castaways are excited to see Coach come back with the supplies. They are having fun, but Chrissy wants to talk game. She talks with Coach, who says Dee is a big threat.

On Cila, Rick and Christian are out walking and looking for idols, even though they don’t know if the fans even voted for idols or not. It seems like Rick and Christian have a love for each other. Rick says Emily wants to work with him, so they want that trio.

On Vatu, Kyle is trying to build relationships. He is talking with Colby, Stephanie, and Genevieve. He wants them all to join forces. Genevieve then talks with Aubry, but it’s tense. They talk about working together, and danger together, but Aubry ain’t believing her.

Exile Island on ‘Survivor’

Ozzy and Q are not happy. They have bugs everywhere. The guys didn’t sleep well and missed out on building early connections. They survive the night as the boats come to get them.

One last twist, as they get to the boats and have supplies. However, they have to buy the supplies. One person needs to buy the supplies, but it will cost them their vote. They get the supplies, but lose their vote. The other person will go back with no supplies, but gets an extra vote.

The guys talk, and Ozzy convinces Q to take the supplies. Q takes the supplies, so he loses his vote, and Ozzy goes back with an extra vote.

Back to Camp

Q goes back to Vatu, and he tells them he won a challenge the next day to get the supplies, and Ozzy got nothing. He then talks with Kyle, and tells them he has no vote, which he told no one else.

On Cila, they are sad to see Ozzy come back with nothing. Now, Christian is going to try using people’s glasses to start a fire! They work together, but it freakin’ worked! No supplies needed, but the glasses worked, and now Cila has fire.

Rick then talks with Cirie, saying that Jenna is throwing her name out there. Cirie said she has to build relationships to stay above Jenna, so she works with Ozzy, who tells her that he has an extra vote.

On Vatu, they are having a fashion show. Colby said he misjudged Rizo, and he’s the same age as Colby was when he first played. Colby then reaches out, and they have a good talk, and we have the first tears from Rizo. However, this is a special moment.

On Kalo, Jonathan said he is going to be more fluid this season. He doesn’t want to be the beast and provider. He said he is more of an old-school player, so he is building alliances with them. Jonathan said he’s playing more aggressively. We have Kamilla, Tiffany, and Dee wanted to be a trio together.

First Immunity Challenge on ‘Survivor’ 50

The castaways arrive at Jeff for the first Immunity Challenge. The tribes will work through a series of obstacles. They will gather coconuts, release ramps, and climb walls. At the end, they have to put together a puzzle. The first two tribes to finish will win immunity. There is also a reward available, with the first-place tribe winning a fishing kit. The second-place tribe will win a smaller fishing kit.

They are all on the coconuts, with Vatu getting the basket to drop first. Kalo gets the wall down first, as they are working to get to the puzzle now. Jonathan is a human ladder, pushing up his teammates. Chrissy and Kamilla are now working on the puzzle for Kalo. Kyle is the last one trying to get up the wall for Vatu. He hurts his ankle, as medical is called in, and the challenge is paused!

He is cleared to go, but can’t put pressure on it. The challenge gets started again, as Vatu works together to get Kyle up the wall. Genevieve and Angelina are working on the puzzle for Vatu, as Cirie is struggling to get the wall down. She finally gets it latched and the wall down. Now Emily and Christian are working on the puzzle for Cila.

Kalo ran away with this one, as they win immunity first on “Survivor” 50. Cila was too far behind on this one, as Vatu gets their puzzle down and they win immunity. That means Cila is headed to Tribal Council. Cirie put them way behind on this one, so is she in danger tonight?

Strategy Time

Back at camp, Cirie is struggling with this one. She is a people pleaser and knows that she let her tribe down. She is hoping for her alliance to keep her safe. Jenna is now ready to come after Cirie. Ozzy said he is ride or die with Cirie, so he is working to keep her safe. Ozzy said Jenna is playing too hard, and that’s a danger in the game.

Joe doesn’t like Ozzy pushing Jenna. Savannah and Joe talk, and they don’t want to lose again. Joe is worried about Ozzy and Cirie working together. He got screwed by Kyle and Kamilla in his season, so he thinks he’s seeing it again. Emily and Rick talk, and they think maybe going after Ozzy would be smart. Keep Cirie and Jenna going after each other, but get Ozzy out. It seems like it’s going to be Ozzy, Cirie, or Jenna will be voted out tonight, so a huge name off the bat.

Immunity Challenge on ‘Survivor’ 2026

The Cila Tribe has arrived, so time for this madness to start! They talk with Jenna, comparing the season 1 Tribal to the season 50 Tribal, which is huge. Cirie is trying to distance herself from Ozzy, reminding people she voted him out in their first season. Jeff mentions how Cirie is the reason they probably lost today. Christian said they have to write the story, where they will get back in the saddle and dominate. It’s time to vote, so nothing was made clear there!

VOTES: Jeff tallies the votes, but commercial break. No idols played, and the votes are: Cirie, Jenna, Jenna, Jenna, Jenna, and Jenna! She came too hard for this one, and came after Cirie. Jenna has been voted off tonight! In her video, she said she hopes they lose every challenge now!

The Show Goes On

We are onto the next day, as we see Kyle able to walk on his ankle now, so he is happy. Genevieve and Stephanie are searching for an idol, and Genevieve finds one! She reads it with Kyle, which is the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol. She will send it to someone on another tribe. If they get voted off with the idol still in hand, then it comes back to Genevieve.

Genevieve and Stephanie talk. Genevieve wants to have the idol come back to her, so who can she give it to? She decides to send it to Ozzy.

On Cila, Ozzy is trying to be the provider, which Rick says is old school thinking. You provide, then you need to be kept around. Rick said he is still able to be voted off. Ozzy then checks his bag, which he finds the Hidden Immunity Idol. He is ecstatic, now with an idol and an extra vote.

Special Challenge

A boat arrives at each camp with a note. One person from each tribe must hop on the boat for a special challenge. They all discuss, and it will be Mike for Kalo, Savannah for Cila, and Colby for Vatu heading out.

The three arrive, and they have a little gossip session about what happened at the other challenge. Mike finds out Coach stole it from Ozzy, but it doesn’t bother him.

For this challenge, they find out that only two of them will play. They draw rocks, and Mike loses, so he heads back to camp. At the actual challenge, the two have to stack up these pieces, like a Tetris board. They just keep stacking until it falls. The person who makes it fall will lose their vote. No reward on this one.

They stack it up, and Colby tries to make it taller since Savannah is shorter. However, it doesn’t work out. He knocked the blocks over, so he lost his vote. He heads back, but then Savannah finds out she did get a reward. The fans voted for dynamic advantages this season. For taking the risk, she wins a secret block a vote advantage!

Here We Go Again

Back at camp, Mike tells the tribe about Ozzy saying Coach stole the key. He is now angry and said he never agreed to do it. Coach is fuming and said it brings him back to the day.

On Vatu, Colby tells them about the challenge. He lost and lost his vote. This upsets Q, as now they are down two players without a vote. He lost his vote in the first challenge.

On Cila, Savannah tells her tribe about the challenge. She said she won and kept her vote, and Colby lost his vote. However, she doesn’t tell them about her advantage. Afterwards, none of the castaways believe she got nothing.

Uh Oh, Jeff Is Here

At the Vatu camp, they are talking about playing blackjack. They are having fun as Jeff and the medics arrive! He asks everyone to go to the beach.

Since it’s been some time since the Immunity Challenge, the pain is coming more from the back of the leg. They think it’s not a fracture, but it could be an Achilles tendon issue. They do an ultrasound and then some other tests.

The tests confirm that he ruptured his Achilles tendon. He may need surgery and then three months to recover. Because of that, he has to be medically evacuated. Kyle got hurt, and now he must go home, so the first winner has been eliminated on “Survivor” 50! He is so great about it, but does get emotional when talking with his tribe members. The whole tribe is emotional and crying.

This is an even bigger issue, as Kyle is gone and Q and Colby are left on the tribe without a vote. Until next week though, as tonight’s premiere is done!

What did you think of tonight’s premiere and results?
