Dylan Carter, a star from “The Voice” who competed on season 2023, tragically passed away at the age of 24 on April 25, 2026, following a tragic accident. And now, information has been revealed regarding the beloved singer’s funeral.
In a new report from TMZ on May 1, the outlet says Carter is set to be “laid to rest this weekend.”
“According to his official obituary … a visitation is scheduled today in St. George, about an hour northwest of Charleston — and Dylan’s funeral will take place tomorrow at the Indian Field Campground in his home state,” TMZ wrote.
Carter’s obituary calls him a “man of deep,” adding that he “lived his life with kindness, warmth, and joy” and was also “truly loved by all who knew him and leaves behind a lasting impression on everyone he met.”
Dylan Carter’s Cause of Death
Carter was involved in a fatal car accident, with the accident occurred just after 11 p.m., with law enforcement telling the outlet that a 2026 Tesla sedan was traveling southbound on U.S. Route 21 in South Carolina when it “veered off the road, striking a pole and a fence, before rolling.”
The driver was the only person in the car and was transported to the hospital, where they ultimately passed away. Locals identified Carter as the driver, with numerous posts being shared on social media.
PEOPLE reports that Carter’s official cause of death was blunt force injuries sustained in the accident. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and his death was ruled an accident.

“Absolutely shattered to hear the news about the loss of my friend Dylan Carter. Dylan was literal sunshine as a human being. I was lucky enough to meet him on day one of my time on The Voice. The memories our little group made I will carry with me forever. We laughed til we cried and today we’ve been there for each other as we cried until we laughed over memories from HQ 632. Dylan I will miss your laugh, your sweet as pie southern accent as you say something completely back handed, and your terrifying pterodactyl sound you made for some reason only back to babies you passed walking through the Target we dragged you to for the 3rd time in a day. Fly high with your mama Dyl. We’ll pour out a chocolate Dylight for you tonight. 🤍,” singer Kristen Brown, who competed on Season 24 of ‘The Voice,’ posted.
“So saddened to hear about the passing of one of my friends Dylan Carter 💔 I first met him while we were together on The Voice. He was such a humble and amazing person. Truly, a wonderful soul. After our auditions all aired he was the first one to come and congratulate everyone. He was so excited for us all! He was everyone’s biggest fan. He even traveled to come and see me make my debut on the Grand Ole Opry and was in the crowd cheering me on. So unbelievably heartbroken over this devastating news. Rest in Peace Friend ❤️,” Ruby Leigh, the runner-up on the 2023 season of ‘The Voice’ shared.
