Javier Colon, the first-ever winner of “The Voice,” is returning to the NBC competition for a special All-Star Showdown as part of season 29’s Battle of Champions. The singer-songwriter, who made history in 2011, will once again take the stage alongside other past winners and finalists.
Colon originally won season 1 as a member of Team Adam Levine. His return comes as the show brings back fan-favorite artists for a one-night competition judged by former coach CeeLo Green. The episode airs April 6 on NBC and will be available to stream on Peacock the following day.
Javier Colon Won ‘The Voice’ Season 1 With Standout Performances
Colon made an immediate impression when he auditioned for “The Voice” with a performance of “Time After Time.”
Throughout season 1, Colon delivered consistent performances that connected with both coaches and viewers. He ultimately won the competition, becoming the show’s inaugural champion.
Following his win, Colon continued to build his music career through touring and recording. He joined Adam Levine on tour with Maroon 5 and Train in 2011 and later reunited with Maroon 5 for additional performances.
Colon has also continued to release music. After previously putting out two albums under the name Javier, he released his third album, “Come Through For You,” in 2012 following his win. His most recent album, “Gravity,” was released in 2016.
“I am really excited about it,” Colon said while speaking to Extra about the album. “I was able to put together a bunch of songs that I really feel reflect who I am as an artist, and I really had a lot of creative control… I really am proud of it, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
In addition to albums, Colon has released singles including “The Moon and More” and “Clear the Air.” He also continues to share music through collaborations and covers posted online.
Javier Colon Continues Performing and Touring Globally
Colon remains active as a live performer. He has performed internationally, including appearances in Mexico and Barbados as part of the 2025 Barbados Jazz Excursion lineup.
During those performances, Colon included original songs such as “Gravity” along with other selections from his catalog. He regularly shares updates from his performances on social media, keeping fans informed about upcoming shows and projects.
Colon will join several former winners and finalists for the All-Star Showdown featured in “The Voice” season 29. The lineup includes Jordan Smith, Jake Hoot, Girl Named Tom, Maelyn Jarmon, and Renzo.
Tune into the epic showdown by watching “The Voice” on Monday, April 6, at 9/8c on NBC, or stream the episode the next day on Peacock.
