Michael Bublé may have to add “miracle worker” to his long list of accomplishments. On August 24, 2025, the Grammy-winning singer and coach on “The Voice” posted a video from his recent meeting with Joshua Emmanuel, a 16-year-old British fan who has cerebral palsy and autism.
The footage of Bublé with Joshua is enough to melt any heart, but his mom, Rebecca Emmanuel, says what happened afterward is the real “miracle.” Joshua was so excited about his time with Bublé that he was literally jumping for joy — a feat for anyone with cerebral palsy, but especially for Joshua, whose legs and arms have been severely compromised by the condition since his birth.
Michael Bublé Says He ‘Couldn’t Wait’ to Meet His ‘Biggest Fan’
Bublé was clearly moved by the time he spent with Joshua and his family, writing in his post, “Some stories touch your heart. Rebecca shared with me how my music has carried her son Joshua through some of the hardest moments of his journey with cerebral palsy.”
“The second I heard, I couldn’t wait to meet him,” he continued. “Joshua, the love you and your family radiate will stay with me always. Grateful to have met you, my friend. Until next time. @joshyboylegacy”
The video Bublé shared featured heartwarming moments of him and Joshua singing together, taking photos, attending a rehearsal, and the teen hugging Bublé so tightly as they met that Bublé lifted him off the floor. Joshua beamed throughout the video, wearing a custom t-shirt that said “Joshua Loves Michael Bublé bonus track so much,” with images of both of them on it.
Rebecca wrote in the comment section of the post, “Thank you so much for making my sons dream come true. This moment we will never forget, God bless you and yours. Love from Joshua, your biggest fan ever 😍😍😍😍”
Video Shows Michael Bublé Fan Joshua Emmanuel Jumping for Joy: ‘It’s a Miracle!’
Rebecca, who now manages an organization called Joshy Boy Legacy dedicated to “improving the lives of families with children with disabilities and displaced individuals,” shared her own video on August 17 after their day with Bublé.
In the caption, she noted that “Joshua finally met his idol @michaelbuble at rehearsal yesterday and I have never seen my son this happy, jumping without falling and so amazed. What a joy our family felt.”
In the video, Rebecca can be heard laughing and gasping as Joshua jumped for joy with little hops, telling him, “Joshua! Let me see the jumping again. It’s a miracle!”
According to the Mayo Clinic, cerebral palsy is technically “a group of conditions that affect movement and posture” due to brain damage that typically occurs before birth. Mobility is often compromised in patients, and Joshua was seen in a wheelchair during portions of the videos. According to a GoFundMe fundraiser for the Joshy Boy Legacy organization, Joshua spent the first six months of his life in an incubator after his birth at 25 weeks.
“I try to do what other kids of my age can do but at my own slow pace,” he’s quoted as saying. “I was told I may never walk but now I have steps and also use a wheel chair, I was told I may never talk but now I have a voice, a word at a time.”
“I don’t see my disability as a disablement,” he continued. “I see it as a different ability to fulfil my potential.”
