Actress and activist Alyssa Milano has made a funny comparison between her daughter’s recent look and the look she had on the cover of a 1980s workout video.
Milano, 53, recorded “Teen Steam” in 1988 when she was just 15 years old. Per IMDb, in the 45-minute video, “Alyssa Milano and two other girls demonstrate some workouts. The story is that she’s a typical teenager who has two friends over for fun.”
Per People, the blurb on the back of the VHS cover read as if Milano was talking. It said, “Like any teenager, I’ve got lots of energy. And sometimes things that happen in my life make me restless. I need to move and let off the steam that builds up inside. So I put together a dance and workout routine that helps me cool out, keep my body fit, and head straight. I call it Teen Steam.”
Her co-stars in the video were the lesser-known performers Tiffanie Poston and Michelle Simms. Notably, in addition to starring in it, Milano also sang the theme tune for “Teen Steam.”
The actress is, of course, best known for appearing in television shows like soap opera “Melrose Place,” fantasy drama “Charmed,” and sitcom “My Name Is Earl,” and movies like 1985’s action flick “Commando” and 1996’s psychological thriller “Fear” (per IMDb).
She took to Instagram to make the fun comparison between her young self and her daughter.

Alyssa Milano shared a split-screen image of her 1988 self and her 11-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, in a post on her Instagram account to her 3.8 million followers.
In the image, one half shows Milano on the cover of the aforementioned “Teen Steam,” while the other half shows Elizabeth in a recent photograph.
The resemblance between the mother-daughter duo is uncanny. Not only is their familial facial likeness extremely apparent, they’re also both wearing pink tops, and their poses are almost identical.
Milano captioned the post, “My girl.”
The post prompted a lively response from Milano’s followers, who had lots of complimentary things to say about the actress and her young daughter.
