After appearing in five episodes of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” an actress has opened up on why she found the experience “very hard.”
Angel Boris discussed her time on the show on a recent episode of the podcast “90210MG”, hosted by “90210” alums Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling.
Angel Boris Opens Up About Time As Emma Bennett

Boris played Emma Bennett, a journalist who causes problems between golden couple Brandon (Jason Priestly) and Kelly (Garth). After Kelly discovers Emma and Brandon had a one-night stand, she calls off their wedding.
Boris appeared in five episodes during season eight of the show, in a “very hard role to step into.”
“You’re dealing with a couple like Brandon and Kelly, such a power couple that have been together for so long, and then in comes this b*tch, you know, basically a vixen, homewrecker,” she said.
“And, you know, it’s hard to walk in and be that person to shake things up. And for a long time, right after it had aired, it was hard because I’m really sensitive.”

Eventually, she took the backlash as a compliment to her acting skills.
“I realized that, well, ‘Maybe that just means I did a good job because they hate me that much.’ It’s so far from who I am. But it was super fun to play,” she said. “It’s a really hard role to come into and play the person who does something like that, no matter what show it is.”
“People thought I was really, really that awful for so long,” Boris admitted.
Emma Left “An Impact” On The Show, Says Boris
GettyBoris also delved into the character of Emma Bennett.
“I went in and I knew it was just five episodes, and I just wanted to do the best job I could and leave an impact and hopefully, you know, stir things up,” she said.
“You know, she was probably somebody who was used to never being told no,” she continued. “The minute she realized, ‘Oh wait a second, oh, [Brandon] has a girlfriend… She became this vindictive, horrible b*tch.”
“I think she really liked [Brandon],” she mused. “Who knows if she knew he had a girlfriend, but I think once she realized, maybe it became a challenge for her.”
Boris also acknowledged the lasting impact her storyline had on the show.
“It was definitely very talked about for so long, still very talked about,” she said. “At first I was kind of bummed, like ‘Dang, it’s only five episodes’… But thinking about it, to come in and have such a pivotal role and stir things up, and have people talking about it for so long, is great too.”
