Dave Coulier is candidly sharing another update amid his ongoing cancer battle.
The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, May 7, to address fans who noticed changes in his appearance and voice in recent months.
Coulier Revealed How Much Weight He Has Lost
“Hi everyone, it’s me Dave, and I haven’t posted in quite a while,” he said in the vulnerable video message. “The last time I did, some of you said that I look differently and I sound differently — and I do.”
Coulier went on to explain that the changes are the result of extensive treatment for throat cancer.
“What you’re seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat,” he shared. “I haven’t been able to eat solid food in months, and so I’ve lost 45 pounds.”
The “Full House” star also revealed that the treatment has impacted his voice.
“That’s what you’re seeing, and it’s affected my ability to speak,” he continued. “Some of you said that I sound differently. So yeah, you’re right on with what you’re seeing and what you’re hearing.
Coulier added a brief recap of what he has been going through for the past year.
“Uh year and a half ago, I had non-hodgkins lymphoma and I went through chemotherapy and my hair is kind of growing back,” he said.
He then ran his fingers through his hair.
Coulier Shared Encouraging News
He continued by sharing encouraging news about his recovery.
“We got our PET scans back and the prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma,” Coulier said. “So we’re very pleased with all of that.”
The actor explained that while he’s been away from social media, he’s kept himself busy with creative projects.
“Offline I’ve been very busy,” he shared. “I’ve been creating artwork, I’ve been doing some creative writing, and I’ve been working on AwearMarket.com.”
Fans and friends quickly flooded the comments section with messages of love and support following the emotional update.
Kelly Rizzo, who was the wife of the late Bob Saget, wrote, “You are so very loved, Dave. And truly no one is stronger than you. God bless you wonderful friend.”
Another fan commented, “I’m so glad you’re still here on this earth, Dave. I’ll continue to send you love and prayers and to hope you gain the strength you need. Love and blessings through your fight.”
“You are so strong, it is inspirational,” one supporter added.
“Much love to you Dave,” another person wrote.
A separate commenter encouraged him to focus on healing, writing, “keep being the amazing light you are to this world and allow yourself time to heal.”
Many others shared that Coulier remains in their thoughts and prayers as he continues his cancer battle.
Coulier first revealed details of his latest health battle in December 2025.
He shared that he had been diagnosed with p16 squamous carcinoma, a form of head and neck cancer, just months after overcoming stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
