Dave Coulier is candidly sharing another update amid his ongoing cancer battle.
The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, May 7, to address fans who noticed changes in his appearance and voice in recent months.
Coulier Revealed How Much Weight He Has Lost
โHi everyone, itโs me Dave, and I havenโt posted in quite a while,โ he said in the vulnerable video message. โThe last time I did, some of you said that I look differently and I sound differently โ and I do.โ
Coulier went on to explain that the changes are the result of extensive treatment for throat cancer.
โWhat youโre seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat,โ he shared. โI havenโt been able to eat solid food in months, and so Iโve lost 45 pounds.โ
The โFull Houseโ star also revealed that the treatment has impacted his voice.
โThatโs what youโre seeing, and itโs affected my ability to speak,โ he continued. โSome of you said that I sound differently. So yeah, youโre right on with what youโre seeing and what youโre hearing.
Coulier added a brief recap of what he has been going through for the past year.
โUh year and a half ago, I had non-hodgkins lymphoma and I went through chemotherapy and my hair is kind of growing back,โ he said.
He then ran his fingers through his hair.
Coulier Shared Encouraging News
He continued by sharing encouraging news about his recovery.
โWe got our PET scans back and the prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma,โ Coulier said. โSo weโre very pleased with all of that.โ
The actor explained that while heโs been away from social media, heโs kept himself busy with creative projects.
โOffline Iโve been very busy,โ he shared. โIโve been creating artwork, Iโve been doing some creative writing, and Iโve been working on AwearMarket.com.โ
Fans and friends quickly flooded the comments section with messages of love and support following the emotional update.
Kelly Rizzo, who was the wife of the late Bob Saget, wrote, โYou are so very loved, Dave. And truly no one is stronger than you. God bless you wonderful friend.โ

Many others shared that Coulier remains in their thoughts and prayers as he continues his cancer battle.
Coulier first revealed details of his latest health battle in December 2025.
He shared that he had been diagnosed with p16 squamous carcinoma, a form of head and neck cancer, just months after overcoming stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
