Joey & Pacey are back together! Nearly two decades after their time in Capeside, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson reunited in New York City, sparking a wave of nostalgia for fans who grew up watching their on-screen story unfold.
The former “Dawson’s Creek” co-stars stepped out together on April 14 for a gala screening at Lincoln Center, sharing a rare public moment that reflected the lasting bond they have carried well beyond the show.
Red Carpet Moments Capture a Lasting Bond

In shared photos, the two appeared at ease, smiling, linking arms, and leaning into a connection that felt natural and unchanged, offering a warm reminder of the bond they have carried over the years.
From ‘Dawson’s Creek’ to ‘Happy Hours’
Holmes and Jackson first captured audiences as Joey Potter and Pacey Witter on “Dawson’s Creek,” a series that ran from 1998 to 2003 and helped shape a generation of viewers.
Their latest reunion comes as they collaborate once again on “Happy Hours,” an upcoming trilogy that reflects how their creative connection has evolved over time.
“She’s a lifelong friend now,” Jackson said of Holmes in a recent interview with Today.
“And for us to get to go back and be able to do this again, and honestly, for her to create that space for us, was kind of magical.”
Remembering Their Beloved Co-Star James Van Der Beek
GettyThe reunion also comes at a more reflective time, following the loss of their former co-star, James Van Der Beek, earlier this year.
In the days after his passing, both Holmes and Jackson shared deeply personal tributes, honoring the memories they built together during their early years on “Dawson’s Creek.”
“James, thank you. To share space with your imagination is sacred — breathing the same air in the land of make-believe and trusting that each other’s hearts are safe in their expression,” Holmes wrote.
GettyJackson also reflected on the lasting impact Van Der Beek had on his life.
“He and I shared this amazing time where that [Dawson’s Creek] clip comes from at a very young point in our life and it was formational for us, and I know both of us look back on that time with great fondness,” he said.
Looking back on his friend’s life, he added, “He became what we used to just call a good man, a man of the kind of belief, the kind of faith that allowed him to face the impossible with grace — an unbelievable partner and husband, just a real man who showed up for his family, and a beautiful, kind, curious, interested, dedicated father.”
“And so while on the one hand, that’s beautiful, and I think he did lead a very good life and he was a good man, the tragedy of that for his family is enormous.”
As Holmes and Jackson continue to move forward in their own journeys, their reunion carries a quiet emotional weight.
