When Mama June Shannon announced that her daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was involved in a car accident, fans reacted with an outpouring of love and concern. The reality TV star has since updated fans on her daughter’s condition.
Alana Thompson Was Involved in an Accident
In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, September 27, just hours after her initial post about Thompson’s car accident, Shannon shared an update. She told fans that “Alana is very lucky,” and that “she is sore this morning.”
Shannon also informed fans that she would be updating them with a more in-depth story on the situation later, presumably sharing photos of the car wreckage, as she had revealed that fans would be able to see “just how lucky she was,” in reference to Thompson.
Also in the video, Shannon teased that she “envisioned the wreck” in her dream before it happened, and said, “That’s a storytime, too”. In the caption of the video she wrote, “Here is a little update y’all I promise y’all I will give you more information. Just let me wrap my head around what just happened all this trip was unexpected everything that happened and just making sure that Alana is good at the end of the day unfortunately, she did not get to go to her first clinical today.”
She also shared a bunch of hashtags, including “#reallife” and “#crazylife.” To say it has been a stressful time for this mama is an accurate statement.
Fans have flooded the comment section with questions about what happened and requested more information about the situation. Although Shannon said she would go into more depth about the accident at a later stage. Fans have also sent prayers for Thompson, hoping that she makes a speedy recovery. “Is Alana OK? Praying for her,” another comment reads.
“Praying for our beautiful Alana… your Georgia family and fans love you pretty Girl,” a concerned fan shared.

What Happened to Alana Thompson?
Before Shannon’s update, she had posted a video on Instagram on September 27, informing fans that her daughter had been in a car accident. Thompson was T-boned as she was pulling out of her driveway in Colorado by a man who was speeding at 40 MPH.
Shannon informed fans that Thompson was doing OK and that she was thankful that the situation was not worse.
The crash happened on Friday, September 26.
