90s Band Announces Reunion Years After Breakup

It finally happened; Super Furry Animals are reuniting. Yep, the legendary Welsh band that soundtracked the ‘90s for so many fans is stepping back into the spotlight, according to BBC. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen them together on stage, but now they’re gearing up for something huge: a 2026 tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, “Fuzzy Logic.” That’s right, the album that kicked it all off three decades ago is getting the party it deserves.

The Furries Are Back

For those keeping count, the band officially went on hiatus back in 2010, breaking up the band (although they still played a few gigs here and there). Their last big live moment happened in 2016 when they dropped “Bing Bong“, a single celebrating Wales qualifying for the Euros, per BBC. Since then, fans have been left wondering if there would ever be another chance to see Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Dafydd Ieuan, Guto Pryce, and frontman Gruff Rhys share the stage again. Turns out, the answer is yes; and we’re here for it.

The band announced the news on Instagram with a post that said, “We’re excited to announce that we’ll be returning to the stage for the first time in a decade with gigs in Dublin, Glasgow, Llandudno, Cardiff, Manchester and London for the Supacabra 2026 tour ☄️.” If that’s not enough to make longtime fans drop everything, tickets officially go on sale October 3, 2025. Consider this your warning… those are going to move fast.

Beyond Nostalgia: What’s Coming Next

The reunion isn’t just about the tour. The band is also planning a reissue of their 2005 album “Love Kraft” in honor of its 20th anniversary. And it won’t just be the same old tracks… this edition is set to include never-before-heard music, says BBC. Add that to the fact they’ve got nine albums to pull from for their live shows, and it feels like fans are about to get the ultimate Super Furry Animals experience.

Knowing their reputation for pushing creative boundaries, the shows won’t be simple strolls down memory lane. Expect surprises, energy, and maybe even a few moments that remind everyone why this band has always stood out from the crowd.

Fans Are Already Losing It

The reaction to their Instagram post says it all. One fan kept it short and sweet with a “YES!!” while another got emotional: “Never thought there’d be a chance for me to take my sons to see SFA. They’ve been brought up on them. Everything is crossed for tickets.”

Others leaned into the hype with “OMFG this will be AMAZING!” and, of course, fans are already making requests. “Might just as well knock out a new album while you’re on a roll…?” one comment read. Another fan added, “Please come to the USA. 🙏”

The demand is clear whether or not they expand past the UK. The Supacabra 2026 tour is already shaping up to be one of the biggest music reunions in years. For fans who’ve been waiting over a decade, this is more than a concert… it’s the return of a band that defined an era.
