“The Real Housewives of Potomac” recently returned for its 10th season on Bravo. Among the cast are Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo. Both were accomplished before joining the show, but their careers have taken off since their debut. Here’s a look into her massive empire.
The Osefos joined “The Real Housewives of Potomac” in 2020 for the show’s fifth season. Since then, she has become a fan favorite and has launched multiple business endeavors during her time on the hit Bravo series.
Reports Say Osefo Is Worth Over $1 Million
It’s unclear how much Osefo makes from appearing on “The Real Housewives of Potomac.” However, according to Parade, the reality star has a net worth of $1.5 million. This is as of 2024. As mentioned, her television career began in 2020.
However, before appearing on RHOP, Osefo was a professor. She began working at The Johns Hopkins University in 2016 as an Assistant Professor in the School of Education. This was the same year Osefo earned her Ph.D. She remained at the esteemed university until 2024.
According to Bravo, she said on the show during season 9, “I wanted to resign for a very long time. I’m turning 40, but I still have other things to do.” She could be seen in the episode writing her letter of resignation.
In additon to “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” Osefo published a book, “Tears of My Mother: The Legacy of My Nigerian Upbringing,” in 2022. She also launched a YouTube show, The Dr. Wendy Show,” in 2023. To date, she has uploaded 16 episodes.
Regarding her teaching, she became a visiting professor at Wesleyan University in 2024, where she taught a course called “The Sociology of Reality TV.”
She Has Launched Multple Business Ventures
Osefo is also a businesswoman. She launched Onyi Home Essentials in 2021. The company focuses on home fragrance products, candles, diffusers, and room sprays. Osefo is the founder and creative director of the company.
According to the official website, “Wendy is determined to change the interior design landscape one candle at a time. She invites you to join her on this journey.” She is also the CEO of the 1954 Equality Project, which seeks to provide resources to students.
It’s also worth noting that Osefo is set to appear on Bravo’s “Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.” In additon to Osefo, it will feature Emily Simpson from “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” Melissa Gorga from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” and Angie Katsanevas from “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”
