Robert Irwin’s “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 journey is almost over and it is just one day until the finale on Tuesday, November 25. As he reflects upon the incredible experience before the Mirrorball champion is determined, he shared what his favorite part has been, and his answer has left fans in tears.
Robert Irwin & Witney Carson’s Beautiful Friendship
Irwin posted a video on Instagram on Monday, November 24. It highlights clips of his shared experience with professional dance partner, Witney Carson. The text overlay reads, “Entered this experience to live out a dream, but I’ll leave with another big sister.”
In the caption, Irwin got emotional. “Dancing With the Stars has changed my life in a lot of ways. But being part of this experience with Witney has been my favourite part. We’ve made it to the finale, and it’s bittersweet… one last chance to dance,” he wrote. Carson responded to the post with a comment. “You’ve brought me and the world so much joy and healing. Love you so much,” she wrote.
Fans have also flooded the comment section with their thoughts. “Robert Irwin, the breath of fresh air the entire world needed. Thank you for bringing joy to all of us,” a fan wrote. “Proving to all of us that it’s worthwhile taking risk and believing in a dream,” Irwin’s mom, Terri Irwin, reacted.
Other reactions include, “This was has been the most amazing time so sad for it to ‘end.’ The Irwin’s truly are the family we need in these times,” and “As soon as the text said ‘and I’m leaving with another big sister’ I will say I cried way more than I needed to.”
The Best Partnership
Irwin and Carson’s bond is one of the most genuine friendships shared between contestant and professional dancer. The pair have formed an incredibly close bond, with Carson referring to herself as another of Irwin’s older sisters, and Irwin referring to her as his “best friend” and “big sister.” It’s been so sweet to watch their relationship unfold and fans love seeing their photos and videos on social media, which gives a better glimpse into their personalities and their friendship.
It’s hard to believe that there will no longer be regular footage of these two, and fans will definitely miss it. On Show Day, Irwin and Carson who dance a Freestyle routine, an Instant Dance, and the Judges’ Choice dance, the latter has been chosen with the help of Derek Hough and it will be a Quickstep.
