One week after informing fans she’d been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, longtime Hallmark star Kristin Booth — who has starred in Hallmark’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise since 2013 — shared a positive update with fans on January 15, 2026.
Posting videos from before and after her surgery, and photos of the surgery site, Booth wrote in her caption, “I feel extremely lucky to have gotten in for this procedure so quickly, as there was a cancellation yesterday. I am now cancer free – they were able to remove all the cancerous cells, stitch me up and send me home. The process took just under 3 hours.”
Kristin Booth is Among Multiple Celebrities Who Have Shared Their Skin Cancer Diagnoses in Recent Years
Booth, who shares a “Wellness Wednesday” post on her Instagram feed each week to encourage self-care among her followers, included a photo of the “pretty big hole in my forehead” during her videos and said that her stitches will be removed after seven days.
The actress told followers that after the first procedure, her doctors “had to go back in” to ensure all of the cancer was removed. As she waited to go home, she said she feeling “a little lightheaded.” In a video shared from home, she said she was “a little tired and definitely dizzy.”
“I’m sharing my experience to help raise awareness about skin cancer, not only what you can do to prevent it but what your options are for treatment,” Booth wrote in her caption. “Most importantly ,wear sunscreen with at least a 30spf or more. For those of us with fair skin, I recommend one with 50spf. If you notice any irregularities or changes in your skin, don’t wait, see a dermatologist as soon as possible.”
When Booth initially shared her diagnosis, she told fans that it took three different doctors over two years to realize the red blemish on her forehead was, indeed, cancerous. Had she not sought out a third opinion, she said, the cancer would have likely spread.
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer, per the Cleveland Clinic, with more than four million cases diagnosed in the U.S. each year.
Booth is one of multiple celebrities who have shared their experiences with basal cell carcinoma over the last two years. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, others who have recently undergone surgery for a similar diagnosis include comedian Rosie O’Donnell, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, tennis pro Andy Roddick, and Kevin Jonas of The Jonas Brothers.

Hallmark Bestie Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe inspired Kristin Booth to Share Her Experience
Booth also noted in her January 15 post that she was inspired to share her experience after watching her Hallmark bestie, fellow “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” star Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe, share her ongoing battle with stage 3 breast cancer.
“This is not to compare her experience with mine,” Booth wrote. “There is no comparison and she is not alone – there are too many people battling this disease in all its forms.”
The two friends and co-stars reunited over Thanksgiving 2025, when Booth visited Lowe to provide support and take her to one of her chemotherapy infusions.
