As soon as longtime Hallmark star and director Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe went public with her breast cancer battle on October 10, 2025, fans and colleagues swooped in to support the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” star.
Lowe wrote an essay about her stage three diagnosis for People magazine and also shared her journey with fans on social media, revealing that after mammograms and ultrasounds didn’t detect cancer in a lump she felt in her right breast, a biopsy eventually confirmed she had stage three Invasive Carcinoma in one of her ducts.
Fans and Hallmark colleagues have flooded her post with well-wishes, and her Hallmark bestie Kristin Booth has shared a GoFundMe campaign that she started to help Lowe’s family through months of treatments, which will include chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, radiation, and reconstruction surgeries.
‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ Creator Martha Williamson Donated $1,000 to GoFundMe for Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe
GettyAfter Lowe shared her cancer battle publicly, Booth — her longtime co-star in the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” mysteries — posted a link in her Instagram Stories to the GoFundMe campaign she started for her in late September.
Posting a photo of them together, Booth wrote, “Help Crystal battle breast cancer” and the hashtags #pleaseshare and #[expletive]cancer. Since the fund was started, she has been able to raise the goal several times as support has grown, with a $10,000 goal posted on October 12.
At the time of publication, over $7,300 had come in, including a $1,000 donation from “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” creator and executive producer Martha Williamson.
Donations Will Help Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe Since She Can’t Work During Months of Treatment
HallmarkDescribing the need for donations, Booth wrote on the fundraiser page, “We are a group of Crystal’s friends. Some of us have been friends with Crystal since high school and other friendships have been created over the years in the film/tv industry but regardless of when and how we met, we all have one thing in common – we hold Crystal near and dear to our hearts. Crystal is a shining light in this world – a woman who radiates kindness and love….to know her is to love her. She is one of a kind. Truly.”
“In late August, Crystal was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer,” Booth continued. “Within three weeks of that diagnosis Crystal started her twelve weeks of chemo therapy.”
Booth added, “Crystal is a Mom of two beautiful children as well as an actor, director and writer. For the duration of her treatments followed by radiation and two surgeries, for the most part, Crystal will be unable to work. We have started this GoFundMe to help raise some funds that she can put toward her growing expenses.”
“Please donate whatever you can,” Booth concluded, adding, “It doesn’t have to be a lot, together we can and will meet our goal and perhaps even surpass it.”
