Country Singer Apologizes After Being Forced to Cancel Entire Tour: ‘I Know I Let Y’all Down’

Country singer Charley Crockett was forced to cancel his entire Canadian tour after being denied entry into the country.

The “Man From Waco” artist was set to kick off the Canadian leg of his tour on Monday, February 23, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Charley Crockett Apologizes After Canceling Tour

The 41-year-old singer took to social media on Monday morning to inform fans of the unfortunate news.

“Everybody’s got a past. Mine’s still haunting me,” he began, sharing a photo of the official documents explaining his denied entry. “I tried to cross the Canadian border twice in 24 hours. After they denied me entry in Vancouver, I tried again in Kelowna and was rejected a 2nd time. I’ve been advised that it would jeopardize my freedom to try and enter again. I’m deeply sorry to announce the cancellation of my entire Canadian Tour.”

According to the document seen in Crockett’s Instagram post, he was not allowed into Canada due to a felony conviction from March 2016.

His announcement continued, “Full refunds will be issued at the point of purchase. I know this doesn’t begin to make up for y’all’s time and hard earned money. I apologize to everyone affected. I know I let y’all down.”

Crockett was scheduled to be in Canada until after his March 6 show in Niagara Falls, before heading to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the following night.

“Canada’s such a beautiful country full of some of the best fans in the world, and I’ve had the time of my life playing shows for y’all. I ain’t one to quit, and I aim to be back one of these days real soon,” he concluded. “Yours truly, Charley.”

Charley Crockett Received Fans’ Support After Devastating Announcement

Crockett was flooded with love and support from fans and friends amid his devastating tour news.

“My past haunts me too amigo , but don’t stop trying. There are legal pathways to get past this,” fellow musician Gerry Blackchild wrote. “We always appreciate your transparency, honesty.”

“Stay strong Charley 💪🏻💪🏻,” one fan commented.

“Hurts to see this bubba. I hope everyone appreciates your transparency and will. There aren’t many who’d stick their neck out this far, for anything. Much respect,” another noted.

“I’m sorry this happened Charley. I know that you are sad and don’t like to disappoint your fans. Keep your chin up,” a third fan wrote.

Crockett has shows scheduled throughout the United States from March to September. He has one show scheduled for Calgary, Alberta, in July, though it’s unclear whether that performance is also canceled.
