Fans Barely Recognize Jodie Sweetin With Dark Hair in New Video

Fans can’t get over how different Hallmark star Jodie Sweetin looks in a video posted on February 25, 2026. In the social media post, the perennial blonde is seen with long brunette locks as she and her former “Full House” co-star John Stamos adorably re-enact Taylor Swift’s “Opalite” music video.

Social Media’s Giving 2 Thumbs Up to Jodie Sweetin’s New ‘Do

In the video posted by Stamos, he and Sweetin are seen in matching blue velour jogging suits — just like Swift and actor Domhnall Gleeson do in the “Opalite” video — emulating the duo’s quirky 80s dance.

Over the video, Stamos wrote of their “Full House” characters, “If Uncle Jesse and Stephanie Tanner had social media today” and in the caption, he quipped, “I’d follow them.”

Fans loved the mini “Full House” reunion but many required a double-take to realize it was Sweetin that Stamos was dancing with, including one who commented, “Thats Jody sweetin? Looks NOTHING like any other photo I have ever seen of her”

Another comment that got over 420 likes said, “I didn’t recognize her at first and thought she was Addison Shepherd from Grey’s!”

Some even suggested it was an AI-generated video, while others remarked on how much they loved Sweetin’s dark hair. One quipped, “How does she keep getting prettier?!?”

Sweetin didn’t address whether the hair color was temporary to match Swift’s dark locks in the “Opalite” video, or a more permanent change. But she did write in the comments, “love you Uncle J and I hope you never take that sweatsuit off. I’m sure @caitlinskybound agrees.”

Jodie Sweetin Also Sported Darker Hair in Two 2024 Hallmark Movies

This isn’t the first time fans have seen Sweetin sport a darker hairdo. In the 2024 Hallmark movie “The Jane Mysteries: Murder at Moseby,” Sweetin’s character donned a very dark wig to go undercover.

That look didn’t get as many accolades as her latest hairdo. One fan wrote on Facebook that “the dark wig was laughable” and another commented, “Love the series… the wig not so much.”

Hallmarkies also weren’t impressed with the wig Sweetin wore in “The Heiress and the Handyman” that same year, with a caramel tone and loose curls. An entire thread on Reddit was devoted to Sweetin’s wig, full of comments from people who couldn’t handle the look.

“I thought it was just me,” one wrote at the time. “She has beautiful hair in real life. Why the hell did they put that horrible wig on her head it was hard to watch.”
