Jodie Sweetin Spooks Up Halloween With Epic Decorations

Whether as Stephanie Tanner from “Full House” or as Jane Da Silva in Hallmark‘s “The Jane Mysteries,” Jodie Sweetin is more known for humor than she is for frights. And, after starring in cheerful Christmas films like “A Cozy Christmas Inn” and “Merry & Bright,” you may think that she loves candy canes and egg nog more than candy corn and pumpkins.

In a recent Instagram post, Sweetin made it crystal clear that, while she adores the winter holiday, it’s Halloween that has her heart. This year, she decided it was time to up her game, and went all out getting in the scary, spooky spirit of Halloween.

Sweetin’s Halloween Extravaganza: From Howling Werewolves to Festive Brooms

“So, you may or may not know, but I love Halloween, it’s my favorite holiday,” Sweetin began her video as the “Halloween” theme song played. “I mean, I like Christmas and stuff, too, and the decorations, but Halloween is just so much fun. And, this year, I decided to really go all out.”

She then panned to a large, animatronic werewolf behind her. “I have a werewolf, you guys. I have a werewolf that howls. It’s incredible,” she said, before giving a shoutout to the company who brought it to life. She then pans back over to her yard to show the rest of her decorations.

“I’ve got little brooms going up my walkway,” she continued. “You guys, I am so excited. With the world being what it is, I’m finding my joy where I can. So, yeah, I’m going to enjoy this.”

Fans were thrilled to find out that Jodie Sweetin is a Halloween superfan. Some even offered suggestions to make the werewolf scarier, or to last beyond October 31.

“Love it,” commented one fan. “You should add an awesome glowy full moon in there somewhere.”

“I love this so much!!!” Wrote another. “I think you should just put a Santa hat on him and use him as Christmas decor also.”

Stand-up Comedy Has Become A Major Part of Sweetin’s Life

2025 has seen Sweetin appear in the Lifetime movie “Dateless to Dangerous: My Son’s Secret Life,” and and in an episode of “Critical Role: One-Shots.” She began doing stand-up comedy after the unexpected death of her co-star, Bob Saget. Currently, she hosts the monthly “Smoke Show With Sweetin: A Comedy Pageant,” to showcase fellow comedians.

She also recorded the audiobook for her 2009 memoir, “UnSweetined,” which she found cathartic. “I’m proud knowing that this audiobook is my voice, my emotions and my truth all wrapped together,” she told People. “I was really vulnerable in the process of recording and I hope listeners feel that connection with every word.”
