Erin Napier Looks Absolutely Adorable in Childhood Throwback Photos

It’s hard to believe that HGTV star Erin Napier was once a young girl living on a chicken farm before she achieved great success with her hit “Home Town” franchise — but it’s true, she was — and we have the photos to prove it!

In adorable throwback photos from her childhood, Erin caroused on her family’s commercial chicken farm while wearing pink overalls and an oversized hat. In one photo, she could be seen enjoying her time in the barn, while another showed her as she sat with a woven basket in her lap.

Erin Napier’s Adorable Childhood Photos

The sweet images were shared by HGTV on their Instagram page to celebrate Erin’s very personal home repair on this week’s episode of “Home Town.”

During the episode, which aired on Sunday, March 1, Erin and her husband, Ben Napier, built a chickshaw, which is a mobile chicken coop, for Ben’s brother Jesse and his wife, Lauren.

In an emotional Instagram post shared by Erin, she opened up about how much it meant to her to be able to fix up her brother-in-law’s home for their growing family.

“This one is for the lovers of life in the country, the bread makers who want chickens but have been trapped in city limits,” she captioned a 5-photo carousel. “It’s going to be mid century in some ways, eclectic and unexpected and full of youthful color for a young family we love very much.”

Erin & Ben Napier’s Unexpected Call From an HGTV Producer

Although Erin and her husband began hosting one of HGTV’s most successful shows in 2017, going on 10 seasons, with several spinoffs, she and Ben opened up in a previous interview with People about never seeing fame in their future while growing up.

However, after she and Ben fixed up their own home, a 1925 craftsman cottage in Laurel, Miss., their remarkable renovations were spotlighted in the media, catching the attention of HGTV. And the rest? History!

Ben shared with People how an HGTV producer reached out to him and Erin after falling in love with their home renovation skills, leading to their current “Home Town” franchise, where the couple finds and renovates houses for families.

“She sent us an email and said, ‘This might sound crazy, but I’ve been stalking you on social media, and I’d like to put you guys on TV,’” Ben recalled of the moment an HGTV producer contacted him. “I was like, ‘Really? Why?’”

“We never expected this,” Erin added of her and her college sweetheart. “Getting a TV show never even crossed our minds.”
