Star-Studded ‘Rock the Block’ Gets Premiere Date & Surprising Roster of Celebrity Judges

HGTV is rolling out the red carpet for a big lineup of celebrity contestants and judges for the seventh season of its hugely popular annual competition, “Rock the Block.”

On March 3, 2026, the network announced that the new season, set in Las Vegas, will premiere with a two-hour kickoff on April 13. HGTV previously revealed that for the first time, competing duos will feature HGTV hosts paired with celebrities. But in its newest announcement, the network also revealed a slew of famous judges are joining the show, too, including two “Real Housewives” icons.

Perennial host Ty Pennington is back for season seven of “Rock the Block,” overseeing four new duos as they each renovate identical, newly-built homes in a Las Vegas cul-de-sac. They’ll have six weeks and $275,000 per team to transform their spaces, inside and out.

The only current HGTV star who will appear in season seven of “Rock the Block” is Scott McGillivray of “Renovation Resort Showdown,” who will be teamed with Brooke Hogan

Longtime HGTV personality Taniya Nayak, who co-starred with Pennington and best friend Alison Victoria on five seasons of “Battle on the Beach,” will team up with 98 Degrees band member Drew Lachey.

Mina Starsiak Hawk, who spent eight seasons starring on “Good Bones,” will return, teaming up with former NFL star and Super Bowl champion Vernon Davis.

Last but not least, former “Survivor” winner and “Why the Heck Did I Buy This House?” star Kim Wolfe is returning, too, to compete with another “Survivor” winner, Chelsea Meissner.

In addition to the celebs who are competing, there will be plenty of stars judging their work, too. HGTV announced on March 3 that HGTV stars and other reality stars will serve as judges on season seven.

During the first week of competition, Bravo celebrity Lisa Vanderpump — an iconic alum of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and queen bee of “Vanderpump Rules” — and her business partner, interior designer Nick Alain, will judge the luxe bedroom retreats.

Another surprising appearance comes from two-time “Rock the Block” winner and former “Luxe for Less” star Michel Smith Boyd, whose fans have been campaigning to bring back, will judge the design and flow of the foyer, den, and great room in each home.

Page Turner of “Love It or List It” will judge the dining room and kitchens, and the four teams will get to judge their competitors’ multi-generational suites, which HGTV said feature “full separate living areas attached to the main homes.”

Another Bravo icon, former “Real Housewives of New York” star Luann de Lesseps, will show up in Vegas to judge “practical spaces” created by the four teams, including an office, laundry room, and 18-foot-high RV garage.

Super Bowl champ and real estate investor Danny Amendola will give his two cents on the backyards — including mini plunge pools — and then HGTV powerhouse twins Drew and Jonathan Scott arrive to assess the completed exteriors and each home’s curb appeal before joining Pennington to announce the winners.

“Rock the Block” launches April 13 at 8 p.m. Eastern time, and will be available to stream the next day via HBO Max and Discovery+.

  1. Won’t be watching this season as I don’t care what celebrities can design. Worse yet what they think of designs, particularly “housewives

  2. Somewhat difficult watching the houses being destroyed in the name of “design” or improvement.
Would enjoy seeing more homes with unique designs – paint color, furniture placements that might actually improve the bare basics. Not always necessary to “take down a wall”….

  3. I’m going to pass on this season. There isn’t anyone on the show other than Scott McGillivray (paired with Brooke Hogan… really?) that I really think has any talent. As for the judges, I put not stock in any of the “Housewives” as there is nothing real about any of them!
