VIDEO: Gia Giudice Looks Back at Her Emotional Senior Prom: ‘Gets Me Choked Up to This Day’

Fans watched Teresa Giudice’s eldest daughter, Gia Giudice, grow up on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” with cameras capturing many of her milestone moments, including her senior prom in 2019. The night was especially emotional for the Giudice family, as Joe Giudice was being held in a detention center at the time and facing possible deportation.

Now, seven years later, Gia, who is watching episodes of RHONJ, reflected on her senior prom, which occurred in season 10. Overcome with emotion, she reacted to watching scenes of herself getting ready for prom, speaking to her father on the phone, and sharing tender moments with her beloved grandfather, “Nonno,” who passed away in 2020.

Gia Giudice took to TikTok, where she reflected on her upbringing on RHONJ, revisiting a pivotal season 10 episode that documented her senior prom. While the milestone marked a joyful chapter in her life, it was also a heartbreaking one as her dad, Joe Giudice, was being held in an ICE detention facility following his three-year prison sentence and was facing possible deportation to Italy.

Gia described watching the moment as “bittersweet” as she pointed the camera at her TV screen, which showed a flashback to her 8th-grade prom, when her father was able to be by her side. However, her mom, Teresa Giudice, was absent as she was serving her prison sentence.

As she continues watching the episode, she spots her grandfather, Giacinto Gorga, who was nicknamed “Nonno” and whom she described as her “best friend.” Gorga lived with his daughter, Teresa, and her four children while Joe was away.

“Literally gets me choked up to this day,” Gia shares in her TikTok.

She went on to note that her father not only missed out on her prom, but also so many of her sisters’ milestone moments, absences that continue today, as he now resides in the Bahamas and is unable to come into the U.S. “Big things like this is when it’s always so hard,” she reflected.

Talking about her grandfather, who passed away in 2020, she shared, “And seeing my little Nonno. I miss him so much, my best friend in the entire world. He looked at me that day like it was my wedding day.”

Gia attended her prom with Dolores Catania’s son, Frank Catania. “Prom was amazing, it was so cute,” Gia said. “It’s amazing to have these moments captured, too.”

Melissa and Joe Gorga’s daughter, Antonia Gorga, is also taking a trip down memory lane, but for the very first time.

In a Jan. 30 TikTok, Antonia revealed that she’s finally sitting down to watch “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” from the beginning. “I’m starting from the very beginning because I’ve never watched like a full season. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a full episode,” she admitted, surprising fans who have seen her grow up on the series.

“I’ve watched the ones I’ve been in,” she continued, adding, “but never the other ones, my mom was kind of like, ‘Get out, go in the other room.'”

In fact, Antonia really shocked fans when she admitted that she had no idea that season one stars Caroline Manzo and Dina Manzo were sisters. “I did not know Jacqueline [Laurita] was Dina’s sister-in-law,” she added.

Antonia ended her video by sharing that her cousin, Gia, “inspired” her to do the rewatch.

Hopefully, she doesn’t get too emotional seeing the major fallouts between the Gorgas and Giudices.
