Season 22 of “The Bachelorette” will be unlike any other. Instead of choosing a contestant who’s competed in the reality show before, ABC shifted gears this year and selected “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul.

As for her prior relationships, Paul had public divorce from ex-husband Tate Paul in 2022 after six years together. They share a daughter named Indy, who was born in August 2017, and a son named Ocean, born in June 2020.
In their split, news broke about the “soft swinging” the exes were a part of with friends from their Utah Mormon circle. This erupted into a scandal that swept TikTok after Taylor claimed other popular Mormon influencers were involved in their swinging group.
After that, Paul had an on-and-off relationship with Dakota Mortensen. The two split for good in May 2025 after Paul accused him of being unfaithful. They share a son, Ever True, who was born in March 2024.
Who Is Competing for Taylor Frankie Paul’s Heart?
There are 22 men competing for Paul’s affection in Season 22.
From former athletes to a proud cowboy, the list is varied, with men ranging from 28 to 43 years old and from all over the country.
Among the contestants is Lana Del Rey’s former fiancé, Clayton Johnson, who’s a singer/songwriter from Nashville. The couple dated in 2020 and were reportedly engaged that December, but it’s not clear when they broke up.
Also on the list is three-time Paralympian Trenten Merill. The 35-year-old has an Olympic bronze medal, but is now vying for a rose instead.

“I’m ready to find my person,” she said, in between quick clips of the season ahead. “I’m not here to get played.”
In another video on Instagram, she talked about some of the features she’s looking for in her new partner. Among them is kindness, supportiveness, and accountability. “Who doesn’t love an accountable man?” she said.
When Does Season 22 Premiere?
The Bachelorette Season 22 premieres on ABC on March 22, 2026. New episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
