Taylor Frankie Paul Embraces Her ‘True Self’ in First Promo for ‘The Bachelorette’

As fans gear up for a brand new season of “The Bachelorette” on Sunday, March 22, the show’s new leading lady Taylor Frankie Paul is giving them a taste of what’s to come.

In the first promo video for Season 22, the “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star got candid about how her rocky past will shape her season. Looking back the MomTok sex scandal and her messy split from ex Dakota Mortensen, Paul is declaring that she’s moving past the headlines, and embracing being more authentic than ever.

In the first scene of the promo, Paul is seen walking past her biggest news stories over the years, cracking phone screens as she walks past in a strapless red dress. “People say, I do it all for attention,” she says as Taylor Swift “Look What You Made Me Do” goes on in the background. “Millions of likes, and I didn’t like myself,” she admitted.

In between clips of her from her reality TV show, including her finding out that Mortensen cheated on her, Paul looks forward to her next chapter. “Am I worthy of love? Is it even possible?” she asks. “As a single mom, I want to better myself.”

At the end of the video, Paul looks straight to the camera. “Maybe all I need to do is be my own true self,” she says, before kicking the iPhone screen and coming out of the other side in red crocs, beige sweatpants and a brown crop top. “And have a little faith.”

While the first Season 22 promo certainly shows that Paul’s ready to be herself and dive into a new relationship, fans of “The Bachelorette” got a taste of Paul’s soon-to-be love story in her appearance at “The Golden Bachelor” Season 2 finale.

Talking to host Jesse Palmer, Paul opened up about how impressed she had been with the men in her season. “They’re all amazing, which has made it, thus far, so much harder,” she said. “I feel like, if they were not the best, it’d make it easy to weed them out. But they’re such gentlemen, and there’s chemistry with them, and it’s just been wild.”

Also in the brief appearance, Paul, who was still filming her season, said her husband was likely one of the contestants. “Yes, I do think that,” she said. “It’s scary to say that, because it’s like, the last thing you want to be is heartbroken at the end of this, when you want that to be a mutual feeling. But on my end, yes.”

Prior to joining, Paul had split with Mortensen after two years of dating. The two share a son named Ever, who born in March 2024. She’s also a proud mom to kids Indy and Ocean, who she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul.
