Martha Stewart Reigns Supreme As Cooking Queen

“Martha’s first-name-only famous, seeing her here has made my night,” one chef reportedly gushed.
For the event, Stewart dressed in a stylish charcoal suit, with a distinctive asymmetrical jacket.
GettyThe guest list also got a touch of glamour with cast of “The Real Housewives of New York City” in attendance. Ankur Jain, Bilt founder and CEO, is the partner of newcomer Erika Hammond.
Hammond was joined by fellow castmates Jessel Taank, Carole Radziwill, and Daisy Toye. Toye is also Stewart’s longtime makeup artist.
GettyThe food was provided by Bocuse d’Or competitor Vincenzo Loseto, who served up small bites such as fries topped with ice cream and caviar, and a crab tart paired with fried chicken skin. Revered chef Daniel Boulud was there to introduce Loseto, who also provided a live cooking demonstration.
Chefs Love Martha Stewart
GettyThese aren’t the first chefs who have been wowed by Stewart.
In an episode of his podcast “Bobby on the Beat,” Bobby Flay opened up about the celebrity chef, per Parade.
“Whenever I’m in the same room with Martha Stewart, I come out smarter,” he said. “She is the smartest person I’ve ever come across in my life – she knows everything about everything.”
According to CT Insider, chef David Chang also sang her praises in the docuseries “The Many Lives of Martha Stewart.” Comparing Stewart to Julia Child, he said, “Julia Child was pragmatic, real. Martha couldn’t enroach on that.”
“Martha was about finesse, excellence and progression,” he continued. “She was doing what Anna Wintour was doing with Vogue. Martha was doing it with food.”
Chef Emily Brubaker, who won series one of Stewart’s reality cooking show “Yes, Chef!”, praised Stewart’s no-nonsense attitude in the kitchen.
“If you overcook it, she’s going to know. You under season it, she’s going to call you out,” she told Table Magazine. “She doesn’t – pardon my French – bull*** you. She is straight up, this is how it should be. And she doesn’t waiver from that.”
