“The Real Housewives of New York City” is officially back for season 16, but not without a major cast shakeup. As fans all know, RHONY was totally rebooted with a brand new cast for season 14, introducing viewers to a group of new ladies working and mingling in the Big Apple.
According to Bravo, only three of those women are set to return to the new season: Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Sai De Silva. The series is bringing in three new faces ready to shake things up, and the newbies have interesting celebrity ties that will surely have fans intrigued.
The Newbies of RHONY Season 16 Have Surprising Celebrity Ties
When Bravo announced the official cast for “The Real Housewives of New York City” season 16, they introduced three new women set to join the beloved series.
Those three new women include Erika Hammond, Daisy Toye, and Hailey Glassman.
According to TMZ, fans may recognize Glassman as the former girlfriend of reality TV star Jon Gosselin. The two dated shortly after his separation from Kate Gosselin in 2009, with he and Kate famously starring on the TLC series “Jon & Kate Plus 8” with their eight children.
The outlet called Glassman and Gosselin’s relationship a “whirlwind,” adding that it ended that same year.
According to Glassman’s Instagram, she is a New York City publicist who also calls Martha’s Vineyard, an island located in Massachusetts, and a wealthy community, home. According to People, Glassman’s father is plastic surgeon Dr. Lawrence Glassman, with whom she also works.
Daisy Toye Is a Makeup Artist with Clients That Include Martha Stewart
Daisy Toye is a professional celebrity makeup artist whose clients include the Martha Stewart. Looking at Toye’s Instagram, she was on hand to do Stewart’s makeup for this year’s Grammy Awards, and in 2023, did her makeup for her iconic Sports Illustrated cover and spread. It also appears that Toye travels with Stewart across the globe as her go-to makeup professional.
Her Instagram also features her working alongside celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, known for styling stars such as the Kardashians, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and Drew Barrymore.
While it’s unclear what her relationship is with the other RHONY stars, she did share a photo posing in a tub with Jenna Lyons, although she will no longer appear in the series.
Erika Hammond Is a Celebrity Fitness Trainer
Erika Hammond is also a new addition to RHONY. A celebrity fitness trainer who is the creator of Knockout at Equinox, Hammond was also a former WWE Diva who co-created Rumble Boxing, per People.
Looking at her Instagram, Hammond is certainly going to bring the glitz and glam to the Big Apple. In April 2024, she wed her husband, the CEO of Bilt, Ankur Jain, in Egypt, with the ancient pyramids as the couple’s backdrop.
Hammond also appears to have a strong connection to the women of RHONY, posing alongside returning cast member Jessel Taank and newbie Toye in an Instagram post where she revealed she was a part of the cast.
Her caption read, Apple’s out of the bag 🍎🤗 excited to join these babes on the next season of RHONY @bravotv.” In the comment section, Erin Lichy shared heart emojis, while Taank joked, “Just don’t yell at me! 😂”
