Now, Andy Cohen is revealing the message she sent him before she was cast.

Cohen took to his SiriusXM “Radio Andy” show in March 2026 to discuss the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 17. He said, “This is the cast we have been waiting for. K. Michelle.” Cohen then asked his cohosts if they were familiar with her, to which they said they were.

One of the cohosts noted having watched her on “Love & Hop Hop,” stating that they were “so excited.” Cohen continued, “I have never seen one frame of ‘Love & Hip Hop.’ Now, once we started filming and I was reading hot sheets from Atlanta, I DM’d K. Michelle to say, ‘you’re so great. I’m so glad you’re on the team.’

What did I find but a DM from K. Michelle from like 2023 or something beling like ‘I need a peach. This is the show that I belong on.’ Somehow, I had missed this.”

From there, the “Watch What Happens Live” host began to tease RHOA season 17. He said of K. Michelle, “She… oh my God. And in the interview chair! Are you kidding me? After that, Cohen mentioned the other RHOA newbie, Pinky Cole, and how she and K. Michelle both have history with the cast.

Regarding the premiere episode for season 17, Cohen stated that he was “cackling” from it, calling it “a delight.”
