Season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is on the horizon, with Bravo having recently shared a brief teaser. Now, ahead of the official trailer, actress and RHOA star Drew Sidora is teasing a more lighthearted season and dishing on her friendship with Porsha Williams.
RHOA’s Drew Sidora Teases Season 17 of the Show
Sidora appeared on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast in February 2026. While on the show, she briefly discussed season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She said, “This season is just a lot more laughs. A lot more- less tears, I think we all were just crying last season.”
The RHOA star also confirmed that Williams’ girlfriend, Patrice “Sway” McKinney, will be featured on the upcoming season. When asked how she feels about McKinney, Sidora said, “So cool. Like you guys will see, too, on the season, like she’s just there as a support for her, and whoever’s around Porsha is going to feel that, and she looks out for everyone. Just a servant.”
Sidora also discussed how she and Williams repaired their friendship after having been at odds during season 16 of RHOA. According to her, “It was so hard. Like that season was so hard for me because I was so excited, like, ‘my girl’s back’ and then to find ourselves in this.
But as you saw, we got to the other side of it. She took ownership, which I wish some of the other ladies would take note of. She apologized and after that, it’s like let’s just move on.”
Porsha Williams Recently Praised ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Season 17
Williams appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” ahead of filming “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.” While there, she also teased season 17 of RHOA, saying it harkened back to the show’s glory days.
Williams said in the clip, “This season of Housewives is so good. I had the best time with most of the girls.” Andy Cohen then noted that the season’s cast “feels like a real group.” This led Williams to add, “Listen, I feel like last year we were still trying to learn each other.
Petty drama and there is still some petty drama, but a sisterhood starts to bond, and the cast does somewhat of a split at some point, but it comes back around in such a nice way that I think it’s going to be rewarding for the audience.”
Regarding the cast, RHOA season 17 is expected to include Phaedra Parks, Angela Oakley, Shamea Morton, Kelli Ferrell, Cynthia Bailey, Sidora, and Williams. There are also two new rumored castmembers. Singer and “Love & Hip Hop” star K. Michelle and restaurateur Pinky Cole.
