Fans were thrilled to learn that their favorite original stars from “The Real Housewives of New York City” would be reuniting in a brand-new series on the E! network titled “The Golden Life.”
One of the many OGs fans believed would be perfect for the series was RHONY icon, Bethenny Frankel. Frankel starred on the Bravo show for eight seasons, officially leaving for good after season 11. However, in a recent Instagram video, Frankel broke down the many reasons why she wouldn’t join the new series, despite allegedly getting an offer to return to TV.
Bethenny Frankel Lists Reasons Why She Didn’t Want to Join ‘The Golden Life’
Bethenny Frankel is setting the record straight as to why she does not want to appear in the new E! network docuseries “The Golden Life,” which sees original RHONY stars sharing their lives in Palm Beach, Florida.
In an Instagram post, Frankel shares that one reason why she could not see herself on the reality series is that “it wouldn’t be good for my business,” hinting that the cattiness and drama typically associated with the show may clash with the brand she’s built.
She continues, “It used to be good for business when I was promoting my own business, but now that I work with a lot of other brands that have different types of equity deals, and different types of partners, they don’t look highly upon that.”
Frankel also revealed that another reason she couldn’t picture herself on the show was that the pay wasn’t simply up to her standards.
Sharing that many of the ladies wanted to see her on the show, she added, “The amount of money that it would take me to come back, that they could presumably never pay, would make the other housewives resent me so much, which did happen before.”
Despite her reasons, Frankel said she was happy for the other women. “I want them to thrive, succeed. I want the show to do well.”
‘The Real Housewives’ Stars Set To Appear in ‘The Golden Life’
GettyAccording to E! News, “The Golden Life” will follow OGs of RHONY “in this new ‘golden’ era of life,” as they thrive “in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene.”
“With their signature humor and non-stop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones,” the synopsis read.
But like any reality show starring the ladies of the “Real Housewives,” the series promises to deliver drama, with the synopsis also reading, “unresolved drama looms as they reconnect after years of highs and lows.”
It’s been confirmed that the women set to star on the series include Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, and Dorinda Medley.
Jill Zarin was also a part of the cast, but following her disparaging comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance, she was fired from the series.
