Not that long ago, I noted that it was time for Jasper “Jax” Jacks to return to the General Hospital canvas. Last played by Ingo Rademacher, he hasn’t been seen on the series since 2021, when he abruptly left town. Well, fast forward to the General Hospital episode airing on August 7, and Jax’s name was brought up thanks to newcomer Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel), who turns out to be the Vice President of Operations at Jasper Jacks Enterprises.
Hudson sits down with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and informs her that she’s the new CEO of her father’s company. Allegedly, he’s on a boat sailing around the world and is unreachable. As such is the case, he made a provision for Josslyn to become the CEO in his place. The news shocks Josslyn, who has no idea what to make of the news and has no interest in leaving her position with the WSB to be a businesswoman. (She doesn’t seem to be as concerned as you’d think she would be hearing her dad is unreachable, but I digress).
Something about this shocking news spells trouble. Will this curveball from Jax lead to a mystery in need of solving? Will it consist of twists and turns that shake up Port Charles?
Jax Not Sailing Around the World but in Trouble

Now, it’s entirely possible that Jax is, in fact, sailing around the world and purposefully put Josslyn in charge of his company in an effort to lure her away from the WSB. Carly (Laura Wright) has tried to get her daughter to quit, so perhaps Jax thought dangling a shiny new job in front of his daughter is the solution.
However, let’s suppose for a moment that Jax is actually in trouble and being held captive by someone in an effort to steal his business, knowing Jax would leave Josslyn in charge and she isn’t quite business savvy. Then, with Josslyn is in control, this person makes a power play to take over the billion-dollar empire. Not for nothing, Hudson could definitely be the person plotting or working with the person plotting against the Jacks family, given he obviously has something shady about his past that makes Ethan (Christian Howard) want to keep Phoebe away from him.
Is Jerry Jacks on His Way Back to Town?
A plot to steal a billion-dollar corporation sounds right up Jerry Jacks’ (Sebastian Roché) alley. Jax’s villainous brother loves to earn money under the most criminal of circumstances, and he’s ruthless enough to kidnap his sibling and scare his niece. Remember, Jerry is the same man who spearheaded a dangerous hostage situation at the Metro Court.
Additionally, I recently stated that with General Hospital’s Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Maurice Benard) quitting the Port Charles underworld, the show would be in need of someone spicy to keep up the drama. Could Jerry be that spicy x-factor? As a longtime viewer of General Hospital, I think so. But hey, what do you think?
