A new report says five former “Real Housewives of New York City” stars are heading to E! for a brand-new reality show. This comes years after Bravo rebooted the show with a brand new cast. Now, former RHONY star Bethenny Frankel is responding to the news.
Page Six reported that Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, and Ramona Singer have signed on to host a new E! show. Additionally, the report stated that the women hope to have the series on the air by the end of 2026.
Bethenny Frankel Supports the RHONY Ladies Heading to a New Network
GettyFrankel took to her official TikTok account on January 31 to react to the news about the RHONY cast. She said, “What do I think about the Housewives going to E! in a new reboot, OG style? I’m glad you asked. I think it’s fantastic.
E! came in, savage, baracoota style and said, ‘These [ladies] aren’t expired, so you know what, let’s put ’em back on the shelf. And Ramona is going to come out of hibernation like a bear. Ready to eat something. Jill, the machinations, she’s been turning the wheels, making this happen. Jill had something to do with this ending up in the end zone.”
Frankel went on to say that she’s happy for her former RHONY costars. Subsequently, she shared her unfavorable opinions about the reboot of “The Real Housewives of New York,” which Bravo launched in 2023.
Regarding her time on RHONY, Frankel was one of the original stars of the show, which premiered in 2008. She left after the show’s third season, returned for season seven, and left again after season 11, per Variety.
Afterwards, she used her platform to advocate for reality stars with the Reality Reconning movement.
The Former ‘Housewives’ Star Recently Shared a Health Update
Since leaving RHONY, Frankel has gained a reputation for being open about her life on social media. She demonstrated this level of vulnerability in January 2026 when she revealed on Instagram that she had stage two kidney disease.
She began, “I want you to take precautions in your own life. Months ago, I decided that I was going to be very proactive about blood tests, bone density, all the things I had heard people talking about, and I started to take a series of blood tests. Each time my kidney function was coming up low.”
Regarding what may have caused her battle with kidney disease, she shared, “He said it could be a function of this traumatic experience I had years ago when I almost died from an allergy attack. It could have done damage to the kidney. It could be autoimmune. It’s connected to urinary — which I do get UTIs — not as much anymore.”
Ultimately, Frankel shared her diagnosis as a warning to others to take care of their health and see their primary care physicians regularly. Afterward, many fans offered her kind words in the post’s comments.
