RHONY Alum Sonja Morgan Reveals Where She Stands With Bethenny Frankel

Sonja Morgan is among the most talked about of the former “Real Housewives of New York City” stars. Because of this, it comes as no surprise that she was cast on E!’s “The Golden Life” with many of her former costars. Now, Morgan is opening up about her current friendship with RHONY alum Bethenny Frankel.

Morgan recently appeared on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. While on, one of the hosts mentioned how happy Frankel was for the cast of “The Golden Life.”

The RHONY alum responded, “She texted me immediately like a newsflash before even Page Six. She heard about it before, and she goes, ‘I am so happy for you,’ and I said, ‘I knew you would be.”

Sonja Morgan Says She’s Great Friends With Bethenny Frankel

Morgan continued her discussion of Frankel, covering their history and how they made amends on “The Real Housewives of New York City.” She said, “You know, towards the end of ‘Real Housewives of New York,’ I don’t know if you remember, but Bethenny and I got through Tipsy Girl, and we came out stronger on the other side.”

For context, Morgan and Frankel had a disagreement over their respective alcohol brands. In a nutshell, Frankel, who launched her Skinny Girl line of margaritas and other products, felt that Morgan’s Tipsy Girl brand was an intentional knockoff.

From there, the hosts asked the former RHONY star if the Skinny Girl founder had reached out to the other ladies who will be featured on “The Golden Life.” Morgan responded, “I don’t know if she reached out to the others, but I do know that she made this statement, and no one is on anyone’s feed more than Bethenny.”

Morgan then highlighted Frankel for all she’s accomplished in her career since leaving RHONY. She also stated that Frankel someday joining their new show “would be a gift.”

E! Announced ‘The Golden Life’ in February 2026

Reports first surfaced that some of the former RHONY ladies would be filming a show for E! in August 2025. Fast-forward to January 2026, and the report made headlines again. This led the E! network to confirm on February 3 that Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, and Kelly Bensimon would reunite.

Per the press release, the show will take place in Palm Beach. However, given that E! no longer falls under the NBCUniversal umbrella, it will have no ties to “The Real Housewives of New York City. According to Deadline, Andy Cohen reacted to the news on his radio show.

He said, “I’m so excited for them. I texted the ladies yesterday, and I think it’s gonna be a great show; I could never root against these women. I absolutely love them and I love them together. So does America. I’m gonna speak for America, and I think it’s gonna be great, and I can’t wait to watch, and I’m happy for them.”
