The E! network recently announced that five former “Real Housewives of New York City” stars were starring in a new reality series, “The Golden Life.” Following the initial excitement from Bravo fans, Andy Cohen is sharing his thoughts on the show. Spoiler alert: he thinks it’s a great idea for the former RHONY cast.
The cast for “The Golden Life” will include Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, and Kelly Bensimone.
Andy Cohen Supports the Former RHONY Ladies
Cohen responded to news that five former RHONY cast members were launching “The Golden Life” on his radio show, “Radio Andy.” Fortunately, the Just Booking Around TikTok account has the clip. He said, “I’m so excited for them. I texted the ladies yesterday. I think it’s gonna be a great show.
I could never root against these women, and I absolutely love them. I love them together. So does America, and I think it’s gonna be great, and I can’t wait to watch, and I’m happy for them.”
From there, Cohen mentioned the “Ultimate Girls Trip” season that the RHONY ladies embarked on. According to him, “It was really fun. That felt like kind of a series finale in a weird way. They kind of wrapped it all up, but now they’re embarking on new lives.”
Cohen also noted in the clip that most of the ladies featured on “The Golden Life” now live in Florida, making that their reality.
E! Announced the Series in February 2026
There had been reports that the legacy “Real Housewives of New York” cast had been working on a project for months. This was especially as many of them now call Florida home and had been seen in public together more often recently. Then, in January 2025, Page Six reported that the ladies had signed a contract with E!
Several days later, E! finally confirmed the news on February 3. Per the show’s official synopsis, “Bound by decades of shared history, fallouts and friendship, this fan-favorite group of New Yorkers is starting fresh together in the Sunshine State.
In this new ‘golden’ era of life, the longtime friends are thriving in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene. With their signature humor and non-stop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones.”
It concludes, “Though skies are bright in Florida, unresolved drama looms as they reconnect after years of highs and lows.”
Val Boreland, President of Entertainment at VERSANT, the company that owns and operates E!, also released a statement. He said, “The energy within this group has always been electric, and we’re excited to watch it unfold in a new chapter of life by the beach.”
