‘Real Housewives of New York: Legacy’ Reboot Reportedly in the Works—With a Network Twist

The “Real Housewives of New York City” may not be done with its OGs just yet. According to a new report, a “Legacy-style” reboot is quietly in development — and this time, it might not be on Bravo.

‘Real Housewives of New York: Legacy’ Series Reportedly Moving to E!

A source wrote into Bravo and Cocktails claiming that a “Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy”–style spinoff is in the works at Bravo’s sister network, E!. The move would mark a major shift, as Bravo and E! are both part of the NBCUniversal family.

According to the source, “E! has been looking for its next big reality hit ever since ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ wrapped,” and a Housewives show could be exactly what the network needs.

With Kimora Lee Simmons’ reboot already on the slate for later this year, bringing a “Real Housewives of New York” spinoff into the mix would only strengthen the lineup.

The source also noted that episodes would likely stream on Peacock shortly after airing, keeping the show tied neatly to the Bravo ecosystem.

Unlike the previous “Legacy” project, which centered on a single vacation, this version would return to the classic Housewives format, following the day-to-day lives, friendships, and plenty of New York–based social drama.

Who Could Return for the RHONY: Legacy Reboot?

Names being floated include Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, and Kelly Bensimon. Sources added that NBCU is open to incorporating one or two close friends of the women, aiming for a refreshed version rather than a strict original reboot.

Notably, Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer are not expected to be involved. Jill Zarin, however, remains a perennial possibility, given her long history of resurfacing whenever cameras roll.

Fans have already noticed OGs spending more time together. Luann, Sonja, Dorinda, and Kelly were recently spotted hanging out, fueling speculation that they’re angling for a return. On Reddit, one fan wrote, “Absolutely trying to get back on TV, but I will support their desperation cause I want them back on TV too.” Another admitted, “The unethical things I’d do for a RHONY Legacy comeback is crazy!!” A third declared: “Sorry guys, problematic as they may be, they’re top tier HWs and I’ll watch whatever they give me tbh.”

The ‘Real Housewives of New York’ OGs Have Reunited Before

This wouldn’t be the first time the former New York Housewives reunited on screen. In 2023, “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy” brought together de Lesseps, Medley,Singer, Morgan, Bensimon, and Kristen Taekman for a wild trip back to St. Barts — the same setting as the infamous “Scary Island” showdown.

At the time, “RHONY: Legacy” was originally pitched as its own spinoff following Bravo’s decision to reboot the New York franchise with a brand-new cast for season 14. But earlier this year, the project stalled amid contract disagreements. The upcoming E! version could serve as the true revival fans have been waiting for.
