Bethenny Frankel Reveals If She’s Joining OG ‘RHONY’ Cast’s New Show on E!

Bethenny Frankel, 55, addressed fan interest in a “Real Housewives” comeback as several original “RHONY” stars reunite for their upcoming show on the E! Network.

In an Instagram video from Thursday, Feb. 5, Frankel revealed her reality television fate, explaining that she has no interest in returning to “Real Housewives” or any spinoff, saying she wants to prioritize her peace.

Bethenny Frankel Says She’s Happier Outside of Reality TV

“So I have made a conscious effort to protect my peace,” she shared of why she won’t be joining the upcoming show with her former “RHONY” co-stars. “I’m really happy; I’m really settled. I’m significantly more successful than when I crafted Skinnygirl because I have chosen to do things the way that I want to do them.”

Frankel launched her Skinnygirl Cocktails business during season 1 of “RHONY,” where Bravo aired several scenes of her promoting her brand. Notably, Frankel’s former “RHONY” contract included a “Bethenny Clause,” where she negotiated — and was granted — 100 percent of her earnings from any business she launched outside of the show, even if it was promoted on the platform. Had she not requested that clause, Bravo would have been given a percentage of her Skinnygirl earnings, E! News reported. She later went on to sell her company for $100 million — keeping every single penny.

As she continued to explain why a return to reality TV is out of the question, Frankel said, “I love doing philanthropy. I love content creating. I love working with brands and the freedom of the life I created by living my truth.”

“I’m so happy for the women, and I’m happy for E!,” she added of former co-stars Luann de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Kelly Bensimon, who just landed themselves a 10-episode docuseries on the E! Network, Us Weekly reports.

Frankel noted that she’s been approached by different shows looking to cast her, but she’s turned them down every time. “For the most part, I haven’t really been that interested in anything because it would take time away from protecting my peace,” she said. “And I am in a different place in my life where I don’t want to share everything.”

The former Bravo star reassured her fans that she does, however, have “a couple of tricks up my sleeve.”
