Ed Sheeran and Courteney Cox have made fans very happy after sharing another look into their long-running friendship. This time, the duo gave us a candid video that had the “Friends” star hilariously spiraling over one very relatable problem: having people in her house who are making a mess of things.
‘Are You Really That Clumsy?’
In the Instagram video, it starts with Cox and Sheeran in her kitchen. Sheeran is going to eat some leftover noodles that Cox had for dinner the night before. While trying to put the noodles into a bowl to warm up, chaos ensues.
Cox watches in horror, repeatedly pointing out the mess while Sheeran appears completely unfazed. You can tell her anxiety is working overtime during this exchange, but Sheeran keeps trying to “help.”
She ends up kicking him out of the kitchen, as she attempts to clean up the oil from the noodles, which now happens to be on her stone floor. She jokes about the oil being on the floor, “There goes our friendship.” I feel it was a joke, but the Monica inside of her was questioning her life decisions.
She even asks, “Are you really that clumsy?” Yes, it appears he is!
Monica Gellar Was Activated
For “Friends” fans, the video truly felt like life imitating art. Cox shifted back to her role as Monica, and Sheeran seemed to be filling the shoes of Joey.
During the show’s 10-season run, Monica was famous for her obsessive organization, spotless apartment, and love of cleaning. Cox has joked over the years that she’s nowhere near as intense as Monica. However, you could see Monica coming out a little during this interaction.
Fans could instantly see the similarities between Cox and Monica. Fans were quick to add some memes from the show to the comments, which were eerily similar to her reaction here.

A Friendship That’s Lasted Years
This is a duo that seems very unlikely, but it definitely seems to work at the same time. Their friendship goes back over a decade and has given fans plenty of memorable social media moments.
One of their biggest viral moments came in 2021. That is when Sheeran joined Cox, and the duo recreated Monica and Ross Geller’s famous dance routine from the “Friends” episode, “The One With the Routine.”
The pair even went as far as recreating the signature lift. However, unlike the sitcom version, Cox and Sheeran hilariously crashed to the ground laughing.
Sheeran has also collaborated musically with Cox over the years. Sheeran is also close friends with her now ex, Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid. He actually claims he played matchmaker and introduced the couple to each other years ago.
