Kelly Clarkson had two very special guests cheering her on during the final night of her Las Vegas residency.
The “Voice” judge wrapped her run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, Aug. 15, with her children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, making a rare appearance from the side of the stage.
Clarkson shares 12-year-old River and 10-year-old Remington with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson’s Kids Seemed to Be Having a Good Time
During her performance of “Since U Been Gone,” the siblings could be seen alongside members of their mother’s team as they took in the show from backstage.
The kids appeared to get involved in the fun, tossing guitar picks and ping-pong balls toward the audience as their mom performed one of her biggest hits.
Fans loved seeing Clarkson’s children supporting her during the special night.
“They are witnessing one of the greatest vocals. they must be proud of their mama,” one person wrote.
“So cool for them having their mom rockin’ it on stage,” another fan commented.
River and Remington were later seen walking backstage as Clarkson wrapped up the performance and encouraged the crowd to applaud her band and crew.
For the final show, Clarkson wore a green sequin jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and bell sleeves. She styled her hair in loose waves for the performance.
“Thank you so much for supporting us,” Clarkson told the audience. “We love you all for coming out. We hope it was some great escapism.”
She also made sure to recognize the people who helped bring the residency to life.
“Give it up for this amazing crew,” she said.
The appearance marked a particularly meaningful moment for Clarkson’s children, who lost their father in August 2025. Blackstock died at age 48 after being diagnosed with melanoma three years earlier.
Clarkson had previously postponed her Las Vegas residency as she focused on spending time with her children during their father’s illness.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” Clarkson said in a statement at the time. She also thanked fans for their “grace, kindness and understanding.”
Clarkson Dished on ‘From Justin to Kelly’
During Saturday’s performance, Clarkson also opened up about an early chapter of her career that she would apparently rather her children forget.
The singer recalled being contractually required to star in the 2003 movie “From Justin to Kelly” after winning the first season of “American Idol.” Clarkson joked that she learned an important lesson from the experience.
“It was the first time I was like, read the f—ing fine print,” she said.
Clarkson explained that she did not realize winning American Idol meant she would have to make a movie.
“I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in a movie,’ and they were like, ‘Yeah, but you won.’ I was like, ‘And I feel like I’m losing,’” she joked.
As for whether River and Remington will ever see their mom’s infamous film debut, Clarkson has made her feelings clear.
“My kids, I’ve banned them from watching it,” she said.
