While you may have watched Ariana Grande’s brother, Frankie Grande, during his time on “Big Brother,” you may not have realized that he could have been on another reality show. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, March 4, Frankie revealed that he once auditioned to be on “Survivor.”
In the caption of Frankie’s post, he wrote, “In honor of how epic season 50 is turning out, I dug into the archives (three noses ago) to find my Survivor audition tape. Ended up booking a stay at the Big Brother house instead 🏠”
“The tape opens with a shirtless Frankie doing a Kubrick stare down the barrel of the camera before busting a groove with the city of Los Angeles sprawling behind him,” Billboard explains. “He then shows off his breakdancing, diving, gymnastic and tree-climbing skills to prove he has what it takes to compete in Survivor‘s famously tough stakes.”
“I’m fully trained for it, because I was in the Broadway show Mamma Mia!,” Frankie says in the video while explaining why he’d win if he appeared on the reality show. “Clearly, there are a lot of similarities between Broadway and Survivor.”
Fans Love Frankie’s ‘Survivor’ Audition Video

One person wrote, “I love you so much. This is so incredible”
“The way I’d have kept watching survivor if you were a player 😂😭🫶🏻💕,” another follower added.
A third fan wrote, “We NEED you on Survivor Frankie!!”
“Opening Shot into the festive dancing is one of the best things I have ever seen,” someone else said in a comment.
Another person left a message, writing, “It’s never too late! Would love to see you on a reality competition show again!”
‘Big Brother’ Winner Rachel Reilly Also Showed Interest in ‘Survivor’
GettyWhile Frankie has revealed that he once wanted to be on “Survivor,” it turns out that fellow “Big Brother” alum Rachel Reilly also opened up about the posibility of being on the show.
“The Big Brother 13 winner shared with followers via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Oct. 1 [2025] that she’s currently working on her application. Reilly was most recently on Big Brother 27,” according to Parade.
“On her Instagram Story, Reilly reshared a video of Survivor host Jeff Probst encouraging her to apply while being interviewed on the Emmys red carpet,” Parade explained. “She then tagged a Survivor casting director and wrote, ‘Working on that [audition] tape this week!'”
